What Is Day Care?

• Child care or day care is the care of a child
during the day by a person other than the
child's legal guardians, typically performed by
someone outside the child's immediate family.
Brief Histor y
• Day Care appeared in France about 1840, and
the Société des Crèches was recognized by
the French government in 1869.
• Originating in Europe late 18th and early 19th
century.
• Established in US by private charities in
1850,the first being called “New York Day
Nursery” in 1854.
Studies About Day Care
• Independent Studies suggest that good day
care for non infants is not harmful.
• The National Institute of Health released a
study in March 2007, the study found out that
children who received higher quality of child
care scored higher 5th grade vocabulary test
than the children who had attended lower
quality child care.

Guitnangbayan 1, San Mateo, Rizal in terms of:

Scope and Limitation
The study is limited only to the parents, students and
teachers of Day Care Centers in Guitnangbayan 1, San Mateo, Rizal.
There are 79 total populations of the students in Kalayaan Day
Care Center and 71 students in Guitnangbayan Day Care Center.
The total respondents will be 75 parents of the students in Day
Care Centers in Guitnangbayan 1, San Mateo, Rizal. It is focused on
the enrollment and monitoring of the students used as a subject for

my thesis.
