This is to certify that Nino Benedict S. Almodiente served as student assistant during the Multi-Country
Training and Study Visit Program for Central Secretariat Service (CSS) Officers, Government of India
on Sustainable Development Planning, Management and Governance in the Philippines, 23 - 30 March,
2014. This program is part of Capacity Enhancement Program to expose the officers before assuming
higher responsibility in different central government ministries of the Government. The main objective
of conducting this program and multi-country study visits is to expose the officers to the cutting edge
methods of managing their respective jobs in a more effective and efficient manner.
The multi-country study visit course participants were 33 officers of the Central Secretariat Service
(CSS) of Deputy Secretary and Director’s ranks from Government of India. The participants were
selected by the Institute of Secretariat Training and Management (ISTM). The participants were
accompanied by a course director and observer from ISTM with a program specialist from the Asian
Institute of Technology (AIT) Extension, Bangkok, Thailand.
The Program in the Philippines was organized by the AIT Extension in partnership with the National
University, College of Engineering.
Mr. Almodiente as student assistant was responsible to prepare the seminar room, check the handouts,
assist the participants on their needs, made sure all participants are in the bus before starting off, check
the honorarium for resource persons are properly given, responsible for the seed money for
miscellaneous expenses and other things that maybe required. Mr. Almodiente performed his
responsibilities very well to the satisfaction of the participants and the organizers.
