1. Install bearing cup (45) and lip seal (44) .
2. Use Tooling (A) in order to install retaining ring (43) .
3. Install bearings (41) and bearing cone (42) .

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily
injury.
To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure
and wear protective equipment.
4. Remove retaining ring (39), pin (40), spring (36), and piston (37) from swashplate (38) .
5. Remove swashplate (38) .
6. Compress spring (36). Install piston (37) into the original position.
7. Install shaft (34) and O-ring seal (36) .

20. Install plug (4) and plug (5) .

22. Install valve (2) and bolts (1) .
End By: Install the pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump - Install".

Installation Procedure

1. Attach a suitable lifting device to piston pump (13). The weight of piston pump (13) is
approximately 50 kg (110 lb). Raise piston pump (13) into position through the bottom of
the machine. Install bolts (12) .
2. Connect hose assemblies (9) and (11). Connect hose (10) .

3. Connect hose assembly (7). Connect harness assembly (8). Close drain valve (6) .
4. Install floorplate (4) and install bolts (5) .
5. Install floor mat (1). Install plate (2) and bolts (3). Repeat for the other side.
End By: Install the rear drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Rear) -
Remove and Install".

Hydraulic Tank - Remove
SMCS - 5056-011
Removal Procedure
Start By:
A. Remove the side panels. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Side Panels - Remove and
Install".
1. Drain the hydraulic oil into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation
and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change".
2. Remove plate (2) on each side of the cab. Remove floor mat (1) .

3. Remove floorplate (3) .
4. Remove bolts (4) and lift panel (5) .

5. Disconnect harness assemblies (6) and (7). Remove panel (5) .
6. Remove bolts (8) .

7. Remove bolts (9) and cover (10) .
8. Remove cover (11) .

9. Remove bolts (12). Remove cover (13) .
10. Remove bolt (14) and panel (15) .
11. Remove bolts (16) .

12. Remove bolts (17) and panel (18) .
13. Remove bolts (20). Lift floorplate (19) .

14. Disconnect harness assembly (21). Remove floorplate (19) .
15. Remove duct (22) .

16. Disconnect hose (23). Repeat for the other side. Remove cover (24) .
17. Remove duct (25) .

18. Remove nut (27) and bolts (28). Repeat for the other side. Remove panel (26) .
19. Disconnect hose assemblies (29), (30), (31) and (32) .

20. Remove the cable straps and disconnect harness assembly (33) .
21. Remove bolt (34) and place harness assembly (33) to the side.

22. Disconnect hose (37). Disconnect hose assemblies (35) and (36) .
Note: Hose (37) will remain with the hydraulic oil tank.
23. Place steering column assembly (38) to the side.

24. Remove bolts (39) and panel (40) .
25. Remove bolt (41) .

26. Disconnect hose assembly (42) from the bank valve that is located on the bottom of the
machine.
27. Disconnect hose (44) from hydraulic oil tank (43) .

28. Disconnect hose (45) .
Note: Hose assemblies (42) and (37) that were previously disconnected will remain
connected to the hydraulic oil tank.
