4. Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to
release the spring force.
2. Remove bolts (10), washers (9), bushing (8), and spacer (7). Remove bolts (16), retainers
(15), springs (14), springs (13), and bushings (12), as an assembly. Use a suitable pry bar
and remove brake piston (6) from brake cylinder assembly (11). Remove O-ring seals (5)
from brake piston (6). Repeat this step for the opposite side.

installation purposes.
4. Remove brake cylinder assembly (11).
5. Repeat Step 3 and Step 4 for the opposite side.
6. Remove the differential and bevel gear assembly (18) from the bevel gear side of the center
housing.

necessary, remove bearing cup (21) from brake cylinder assembly (11). Repeat this step for
the opposite side.

System Pressure - Release

Release Procedure
1. Park on a level surface. If you must park on a grade, chock the machine.
2. Apply the service brake in order to stop the machine. Move the transmission control to the
NEUTRAL position.
3. Move the speed control lever to the LOW IDLE position.
4. Engage the parking brake.
5. Engage the transmission neutral lock.
6. Lower all attachments to the ground.
7. Stop the engine.
8. Turn the engine start switch key to OFF position for 4 seconds.
9. Turn the engine start switch key back to ON position without starting the engine.
10. Press the hydraulic shutoff switch to the ON position.
11. Operate all hydraulic controls through all positions in order to relieve hydraulic pressure.
Repeat this step until all hydraulic pressure is released.
12. Move the hydraulic control levers to the HOLD position.
13. Turn the engine start switch to OFF position and remove the key.

3. Cut cable straps (8). Disconnect harness assemblies (7). Remove the four plugs and bolts
(6). Remove solenoid valve (9). Repeat for the remaining solenoid valves.
Installation Procedure
1. Install solenoid valve (9) in the reverse order of removal.
a. Tighten bolts (6) in a crisscross pattern to a torque of 1 N·m (9 lb in). Retorque bolts
(6) to a final torque of 8 N·m (71 lb in).
