Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the disassembly procedure, the exterior
of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the
internal mechanism. Precision components can be damaged by contaminants or by dirt. Perform
disassembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all
times.
Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the
components, if necessary.
Personal injury can result from parts and/or covers under spring
pressure.
Spring force will be released when covers are removed.
Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.

1. Remove bolts (1) and cover (2).
2. Remove O-ring seals (3) and (4).
3. Remove load check valves (5) and (6) and flow compensator valve (7).

4. Disassemble flow compensator valve (7). Remove spring (8), sleeve (9), and spring (10)
from valve (11).
5. Disassemble load check valves (5) and (6). Remove boss (14) and spring (13) from valve
(12).
6. Remove relief valve (15).

7. Disassemble relief valve (15). Remove O-ring seals (16), (18), (19), (21), and (22). Remove
backup rings (17) and (20).
Note: Only the O-ring seals and the backup rings in the relief valves are serviceable.
However, the line relief valves may be disassembled for cleaning.
8. Use a hoist and a lifting sling to support actuator (26). Remove bolts (23) and bracket (24).
Remove bolts (25) and actuator (26). The weight of the actuator is approximately 28 kg
(60 lb). Remove resolver valve (27).

9. Use a hoist and a lifting sling to support actuator (31). Remove bolts (28) and bracket (29).
Remove bolts (30) and actuator (31). The weight of the actuator is approximately 28 kg
(60 lb). Remove spacer (32).
10. Disassemble spacer (32). Remove O-ring seals (33) and (34). Remove plugs and O-ring
seals (36). Remove pistons (35).
11. Remove bolts (37).

12. Remove solenoid (41), O-ring seal (40), spring (39), and valve (38).
13. Remove O-ring seals (42) and (43).
14. Position the manifold in a press and apply slight pressure. Use Tooling (A) to remove
retaining ring (44).

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a
released spring force.
Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.
Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to
release the spring force.
15. Remove retainer (48) and springs (45), (46), and (47). Disassemble all of the solenoid
assemblies.
16. Remove differential valve (49).

17. Remove O-ring seals (51), (52), and (54). Remove backup rings (50) and (53).
Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a
released spring force.
Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.
Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to
release the spring force.

18. Disassemble differential relief valves. Remove plug (55), O-ring seal (56), spacers (57),
spring (58), and valve (59) from body (60).
19. Remove bolts (61) and cover (62).

20. Remove plug (63) and the O-ring seal. Remove O-ring seals (64).
21. Remove plugs and O-ring seals (65). Remove resolver valves (66).
22. Disassemble resolver valves (66). Remove O-ring seals (67), (68), and (69), and backup
rings (70) and (71).

23. Disassemble resolver valve (27). Remove seat (72) and ball (74). Remove O-ring seals (73),
(75), and (76). Remove backup rings (77) and (78).
24. Remove plugs and O-ring seals (79). Remove spools (80), (81), and (82).

25. Remove plugs and O-ring seals (83).

3. Remove bolt (5) and bracket assembly (6). Remove cartridge (7).
4. Remove O-ring seals (8) from cartridge (6).

1. Install plugs and O-ring seals (80).

2. Assemble resolver (71). Install ball (73) in valve (74). Install seat (72). Install backup rings
(76) and (79). Install O-ring seals (75), (77), and (78).
Note: Reduce the temperature of seat (72) before inserting the seat into the bore of valve
(74).
3. Install resolver (71). Tighten the resolver to a torque of 50 ± 10 N·m (37 ± 7 lb ft). Install
stems (68), (69), and (70). Install plugs and O-ring seals (67).

4. Install O-ring seals (66). Install plug (65) and the O-ring seal.
5. Position cover (64) and install bolts (63).
6. Assemble resolver valve (57). Install backup rings (59) and (60). Install O-ring seals (58),
(61), and (62).

7. Install plugs and O-ring seals (56). Install resolver valve (57). Tighten the resolver valve to
a torque of 50 ± 10 N·m (37 ± 7 lb ft).
Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily
injury.
To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure
and wear protective equipment.

8. Install O-ring seal (51), spacers (52), spring (53), and valve (54) in body (55). Install plug
(50).
9. Install backup rings (45) and (48). Install O-ring seals (46), (47), and (49).

10. Install differential valve (44). Tighten the differential valve to a torque of 235 ± 10 N·m
(173 ± 7 lb ft).

11. Assemble all of the solenoid assemblies. Install springs (40), (41), and (42). Install retainer
(43).

17. Use a hoist and a lifting sling to position actuator group (26) and install bolts (27). The
weight of the actuator group is approximately 28 kg (60 lb). Position bracket assembly (24)
and install bolts (25).

bolts (21). The weight of the actuator group is approximately 28 kg (60 lb). Position bracket
