Catch-Up Friday- which will allot every Friday of the week as a time
for basic education learners to improve their reading and writing
skills, critical thinking, and analysis.
Reading(English, Filipino, and MTB), Math, Science and peace
education will be the focus of Catch-up Friday
Key Stage 1- Use CRLA, RMA competencies and materials
Key Stage 2- Least learned Competencies/Self-Learning Modules
Key Stage 3- Use NLC Competencies and Materials
Key Stage 4- Least learned Competencies/ SLMs
Catch-up Friday" will start on Jan. 12, 2024.

Suggested activities during Pre-Implementation
1. Assign a catch-up Friday coordinator
2. Conduct pre-tests in English, Math, Science and Peace
Education.
3. Use CRLA, Phil-Iri, RMA Results in reading and numeracy.
4. Group learners into three; Intervention, Consolidation, and
Enhancement depending on the result of a pre-test.
5. Use the ICL day for JHS and SHS for the catch-up Friday.
6. Make sure all teachers can handle catch-up Friday classes.
7. Ensure that learning resources are evident. (NLC Materials will
be utilized first)
Suggested activities during Implementation
1. Catch-up classes in reading, math, science and peace education
from 8:00-11:00 am and 1:00- 3:00 pm
2. LAC sessions from 3 to 5 pm to discuss feedback and prepare
materials for the upcoming week.
3. Monitor and provide TA on the implementation of the catch-up
Friday.
Suggested activities post- Implementation
1. Conduct post-test on reading, math, and science
2. Conduct program/activity implementation review by having FGD,
interview with students and teachers, and convergences related
to the implementation of catch-up Friday.
