Hulcher Services removed three diesel and lube oil above-ground storage tanks (ASTs) from a railroad railyard. They vented and cleaned the tanks' interiors with a pressure washer to remove residual oil and sludge, which was collected by a liquid vacuum truck for disposal. Workers also removed overhead piping from fueling stations. Hulcher then used sidebooms and trucks to transport the tanks and piping to a scrap yard. Finally, they demolished the retaining wall with a track hoe, cement breaker and back hoe, loading debris onto trucks for recycling. The customer now has an open space and the environmental group is pleased the tanks no longer pose a leakage risk. Hul
