Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

in una di queste sette lingue (francese, inglese, italiano, polacco, portoghese, spagnolo e tedesco)
e dovranno essere effettuate esclusivamente dal responsabile di gruppo.

3. Iscrizione dei Pellegrini
Primo Passo: Registrazione del Responsabile di Gruppo
Potrete iscrivervi nella pagina di accesso del sito ufficiale. Tramite il link: Pellegrini, si
accederà a una finestra in cui potrete proseguire con la registrazione. In questa prima fase
dovrete inserire i vostri dati come responsabili di gruppo. Nel caso non abbiate ancora
un gruppo, cercate di crearne uno; ma, in caso contrario, procedete all’iscrizione come
persona singola. Ecco i dati richiesti per l’iscrizione come responsabile di un gruppo:
• Nome; • Città;
• Cognome; • Stato;
• Data di nascita • Telefono
(la registrazione come responsabili di un (con prefisso del paese (p.e. 39 per Italia) e
gruppo è possibile solo ai maggiorenni); prefisso della città (p.e. 06 per Roma));

4. Iscrizione dei Pellegrini
Secondo Passo: Registrazione del Vice-Responsabile
Dopo l'iscrizione del responsabile di gruppo i deve iscrivere un vice-responsabile. Nel caso
di gruppi misti, Preferibilmente, il responsabile di gruppo ed il vice-responsabile devono
essere preferibilmente di sesso differente.
Nella finestra di iscrizione per il vice-responsabile, i dati e le regole di iscrizione sono
uguali a quelli per il responsabile di gruppo. I pellegrini che si iscrivono come persona
singola devono lasciare vuoti i campi relativi al vice responsabile.
Dopo l'iscrizione del responsabile di gruppo e del vice-responsabile la prima fase della
vostra iscrizione è conclusa. Riceverete un'e-mail con il numero di identificazione
e con la richiesta di creare una password. Si ricorda che la password è personale e
non trasferibile, solo il responsabile di gruppo può conoscerla.
Terminato questo passaggio l’iscrizione non è ancora conclusa. Sarà necessario
completare i dati del responsabile del gruppo e del vice-responsabile nell’area
privata del gruppo. Cliccare su “membri del gruppo” nelle prime due linee e
cliccare su modifica e completa iscrizione.
Bisogna iscrivere il gruppo ed i suoi membri, scegliere il pacchetto che si preferisce
ed effettuare il pagamento. SOLO AL TERMINE DI QUESTI PROCEDIMENTI IL GRUPPO
SARÀ EFFETTIVAMENTE ISCRITTO ALLA GMG RIO2013.
Dopo aver ricevuto suo numero di identificazione ed una password, andate di nuovo sulla
pagina di accesso all'iscrizione e procedete con il login. Entrate dunque nella vostra pagina
personale.

Terzo Passo: Registrazione del Gruppo di Pellegrini
All'occasione della prima visita alla vostra pagina personale vi sarà richiesto di completare
l’iscrizione. In questa occasione saranno sollecitate delle informazioni supplementari sul
gruppo:
• Nome del gruppo
(potete scegliere un nome che specifica il gruppo: p.e. UNIVERSITÀ XX, MOVIMENTO XX);
• Tipo dell'ente di cui fa parte
(parrocchia, movimento/ comunità, diocesi, delegazione od altro);
• Nome dell'ente di cui fa parte;
• Paese del gruppo;
• Lingua di comunicazione
(francese, inglese, italiano, polacco, portoghese, spagnolo o tedesco);
• Città di partenza con destinazione Rio de Janeiro
(ex. dove il gruppo vive o sta facendo la Settimana Missionaria);
• Numero dei componenti totale
(al massimo 50 pellegrini per gruppo, compresi i due responsabili. Gruppi con più di 50 pellegrini devono
essere separati in gruppi più piccoli, ognuno con un responsabile di gruppo ed un vice-responsabile.);
Ogni gruppo dovrà scegliere un pacchetto. I tipi di pacchetti sono descritti nella tabella sotto
riportata, come anche la classificazione dei paesi e territori.
A partire da una richiesta del gruppo, la GMG Rio2013 potrà offrire l’alloggiamento a partire
dalle 14:00 del 21 Luglio 2013 alle 12:00 del 30 Luglio 2013. Ciò è valido solo per i pellegrini che
hanno scelto come opzione un pacchetto che include l’alloggio.

9. Iscrizione dei Pellegrini
Tutti i membri dello stesso gruppo devono scegliere lo stesso
pacchetto. I pellegrini che scelgono un'altra opzione devono creare un
altro gruppo.
Ogni pellegrino è invitato a versare un contributo di solidarietà. Il al
Contributo di Solidarietà andrà che servirà a contribuire all’ finanziare
l’iscrizione di pellegrini di paesi economicamente meno favoriti alla GMG
Rio2013. Selezionare questa opzione nel menù “pagamento”, campo
“contribuzione al fondo di solidarietà”. Non dimenticare di selezionare PACCHETTO
tale opzione prima di procedere con il pagamento.
I contributi di solidarietà dei gruppi brasiliani saranno raccolti dal COL
- Comitato Organizzatore Locale di Rio de Janeiro (in reali BLR). Il valore
contributo consigliato è di R$ 26,00 per partecipante.
I contributi dei gruppi degli altri Paesi saranno raccolti dal PCL - Pontificio
Consiglio per i Laici (in dollari o in euro). Il valore contributo consigliato
è di US$ 13.00 o € 10 per partecipante. Indicazioni più precise saranno
fornite sul sito al momento del pagamento.

Quarto Passo: Registrazione dei Membri del Gruppo
Dopo aver iscritto i dati del gruppo, devono essere iscritti i • Data di partenza da Rio de Janeiro;
membri del gruppo. Per l'iscrizione ci vogliono i seguenti dati: • Eventuale disabilità fisica e necessità di un alloggio
accessibile a portatori di handicap
• Nome e cognome;
(gli accompagnatori che saranno nello stesso alloggio dovranno
• Data di nascita essere dello stesso sesso ed essere iscritti nel medesimo gruppo);
(l’iscrizione è possibile solo per individui dai 14 anni in su);
• Sesso;
• Nome e cognome della madre;
• Paese;
• Lingua di comunicazione
(francese, inglese, italiano, polacco, portoghese, spagnolo o tedesco);
• Documento di identificazione
(carta d'identità RG, Documento Nazionale di Identificazione GRUPPO
(Mercossul), Registro nazionale degli stranieri RNE o Passaporto -
verificare la validità del documento);

• Metodo di trasporto;

questo caso se si rende disponibile a ricevere le confessioni durante la

11. Iscrizione dei Pellegrini
Ultimo Passo: Conferma del Pagamento
Dopo aver iscritto i membri del gruppo, il responsabile potrà effettuare il
pagamento. Si ricorda che, una volta effettuato il pagamento totale, non può essere
modificato il numero totale dei componenti, ma soltanto i dati relativi ai membri
attuali.
Il pagamento può essere effettuato nei seguenti modi: carta di credito internazionale
e bonifico bancario internazionale. I brasiliani avranno la possibilità di utilizzare la
carta di credita della propria banca o il bollettino bancario. Si tenga presente che
il tempo per la ricezione del pagamento potrebbe essere più lungo del previsto.
Dunque per accelerare il procedimento si consiglia di effettuare il pagamento
con la carta di credito.
Ogni volta, dopo aver effettuato il login, il responsabile avrà accesso alla sua pagina
personale e a tutte le informazioni sul suo gruppo.
Contiamo sulla vostra collaborazione per riempire tutti i campi dell'iscrizione
secondo le istruzioni. Questo ci aiuterà a organizzare la GMG Rio2013 e la vostra
accoglienza al meglio.

12. Iscrizione dei Pellegrini
Settimana Missionaria
Chi già ha partecipato a una GMG sa che durante la settimana precedente la GMG, hanno
luogo le cosiddette “Giornate nelle diocesi”. Alla GMG Rio2013 questi giorni saranno
denominati diversamente: “Settimana Missionaria”.
La Settimana Missionaria avrà luo go in tutto il Brasile de dal 16 a al 20 luglio 2013.
Le iscrizioni per la Settimana Missionaria saranno aperte solo per i gruppi
internazionali.
L’iscrizione si può fare nell’area privata del gruppo. Si deve selezionare
uno Stato, una diocesi ed il numero dei pellegrini che parteciperanno alla
Settimana Missionaria.
Prima di procedere con l’inscrizione, è possibile conoscere meglio le Diocesi
nel canale Pre-Giornata nel portale ufficile delle GMG Rio2013.

Gruppo e Sottogruppo
Avvisiamo da subito che i gruppi particolarmente numerosi - cioè con più di
50 pellegrini - che saranno quindi divisi in sottogruppi di massimo 50 membri
ciascuno, potranno vincolarsi tra di loro.
Per prima cosa devono scegliere un gruppo principale, il quale fornirà il proprio
ID e nome del Gruppo ai sottogruppi.
Il sottogruppo invierà una richiesta di connessione al gruppo pincipale nella propria
area privata.
Il gruppo principale riceverà una mail per accettare la richiesta di collegamento da parte
del sottogruppo.

13. Iscrizione dei Pellegrini
Visti
I pellegrini di alcuni Paesi avranno bisogno di un visto per entrare in Brasile.
Le pratiche per il rilascio del visto dovranno essere svolte in anticipo dai
pellegrini stessi.
Per ottenere il visto gratuitamente dovrà essere stampato il “certificato
di iscrizione” di ciascun pellegrino, disponibile nell’area privata
del gruppo. È necessario che lo stesso abbia il timbro e la firma
ecclesiale affinché possa essere ritenuto valido.
Dovrà essere compilato il formulario elettronico, disponbili nel
sito del Ministero delle relazione esterne, e portare il protocollo
di iscrizione, possaporto o titolo di viaggio equivalente,
all’ambasciata o consolato del rispettivo paese per la richiesta
del visto.
Verificate su http://www.portalconsular.mre.gov.br/antes/quadro-
geral-de-regime-de-vistos-1 se voi e il vostro gruppo avete bisogno
di un visto.
Arrivo in Brasile
All’aeroporto o autostrada, sarà necessario presentare il “protocollo di
iscrizione” per tutti i pellegrini, inclusi quelli che non necessitano del visto. Tale
certificato può essere impresso nell’area privata del gruppo. È necessario che lo
stesso abbia il timbro e la firma ecclesiale affinchè possa essere ritenuto valido.
