Carl Lewis is an American sprinter and long jumper who won 9 Olympic gold medals and 10 World Championship medals between 1984 and 1991. He dominated in the 100m, 200m, and long jump events, setting world records in the 100m and 4x100m and 4x200m relays. Lewis is one of only three athletes to win gold in the same individual event in four consecutive Olympics.
