Music festivals have grown in popularity in recent years, with a 27% increase in average attendance from 2010-2012. Festivals now exist for all genres of music. Some of the largest and most popular festivals in the US include Coachella in California in April, featuring OutKast, Muse and Arcade Fire, and Bonnaroo in Tennessee in June, with Kanye West, Skrillex and others. Smaller regional festivals also provide music fans opportunities to see artists, such as Firefly Festival in Delaware in June or Taste of Country Festival in New York for country music fans. Festivals offer the chance to listen to music alongside thousands of other fans, as well as camping and other activities.
