The Canadian citizenship test contains approximately 600 randomly selected questions about Canadian history, symbols, government, rights, responsibilities, and geography. The questions and their detailed answers are contained in study booklets. While the test is relatively easy, about 20% of immigrants fail due to lack of adequate preparation. Thorough preparation, including reading the booklets multiple times, taking practice tests, making notes, and quizzing oneself and others significantly increases the chances of passing on the first attempt. Modern computer programs are also available to help with memorizing answers through quizzes and feedback. Proper preparation using available resources is necessary to ensure success on the Canadian citizenship test.
