NCDs are responsible for 73%
of deaths in Indonesia.
The proportions are: cardiovascular
disease (35%), cancer (12%), chronic
respiratory diseases (6%), diabetes
(6%), and the risk of premature death
is more than 20%.
Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are
one of the biggest health challenges in
the 21st century. Data in Indonesia
states that NCDs were the main cause of
death in 2016 and this indicates that the
incidence of NCDs should be a concern.

7. High Mortality Rates
NCDs, including cardiovascular disease, cancer, chronic
respiratory diseases, and diabetes, were the main cause of
death in Indonesia in 2016. This shows that these diseases
have a significant impact on mortality rates.
Increasing Incidence
The fact that NCDs were the leading cause of death in 2016
indicates that the incidence of NCDs is a growing concern in
Indonesia. This means that the population faces a higher
risk of developing NCDs, resulting in increased healthcare
burden and reduced quality of life.
In conclusion,
we are facing
two big
problems
9. Here is what concerned us most after
we've reached our conclusion...
Research showed that people are
unaware of their daily calorie
consumption and its impact on
health. We want to focused on
addressing the issue of unhealthy
diets, which is a leading cause of
NCDs.

11. After doing analysis, we've
inferred that the root cause for the
problems before is...
"There are not enough easy-to-use
and enjoyable platforms that can
facilitate people's needs"
12. Is that true? What is the evidence?
Before we delve into something
serious, let's get to know Dina and
listen to her story!
14. She is Dina, a busy tax accountant.
Every day, she spends most of her
time in front of her laptop and relies
on food delivery services for quick
meals.
15. One day, she weighed herself, and was surprised by the
results. She hadn't realized that she had gained weight.
16. This prompts her to consider seeking
professional advice from a nutritionist.
However, her busy schedule makes it
difficult.
17. In search of an alternative solution, she
decides to try using a meal-logging app
that can help her to control her daily
calorie intake.
18. Over time, she loses interest in manual
logging due to busy schedule and
commitments, leading to demotivation
and forgetting to log daily food intake.
19. She is confused about what she should do
to maintain her weight and stay healthy.
Does she let herself eat anything regardless
of the calories or does she look for other
solutions that can help her overcome this
problem?
20. She finally imagined what if there was an
app that combined personalized calorie
recommendations, AI image recognition
for food detection, and automatic daily
logging. It would be very useful and easy
to use especially for busy people.
