The café renovation project at CalArts involved multiple teams and companies to redesign and expand the café space. The goals of the project were to create a space that reflects the school's culture, improve the food experience, and serve as a multifunctional community hub. The renovation increased counter space in the servery, added a new market, and expanded seating from 127 to 205 seats while also adding exterior and classroom seating. Construction started after graduation in May and was completed on time in 113 days in September.
