CABA’s Councils 
The CABA Information Council identifies and review white papers and research for the CABA Information Series, the most authoritative source for technical information in the home and large building automation sectors. The Information Series populate the "world's largest" research library for "connected homes and intelligent buildings". 
This council examines industry opportunities that can accelerate the adoption of new technologies, consumer electronics and broadband services within the burgeoning connected home market. 
This council specifically reviews opportunities, strategizes, takes action and monitors initiatives that relate to integrated systems and automation in the "large building" sector. The council is comprised of leading and visionary representation from all segments of the building industry including manufacturers, service providers, building owners and building professionals.

CONNECTED CONSUMER ROADMAP 
Driven by the Internet of Things 
The Continental Automated Buildings Association through its Connected Home Council is conducting a Landmark Research project called “CONNECTED CONSUMER ROADMAP : Driven by the Internet of Things”. 
This research study will assess consumer expectations around the enabled devices they use every day to live in a fully connected world, and also provide insight into key industry topics, ranging from cybersecurity to privacy. Importantly this research will explore and identify new opportunities and solutions within ecosystems and across ecosystems.

The goal of this research is to examine new tools and resources that can help companies filter, analyze, and use Big Data collected from intelligent and integrated buildings. Leveraging Big Data will enable a better understanding of customer behaviors, competition, and market trends. Research on utilizing Big Data from building systems is crucial to staying competitive in this dynamic connected marketplace..

The Continental Automated Buildings Association through its Intelligent & Integrated Building Council is conducting a Landmark Research project called “Intelligent Buildings – Market Sizing North America”. 
This research will be an update to the CABA Research Report entitled “Intelligent and Integrated Buildings Technologies: Market Sizing in North America 2010”. This updated research will also include a market review of the threats to the building automation and control systems (BACS) business, including: new DX AC entrants, increasing sophistication of AC and heating controls, VRF systems equipped with own controls and energy management functionality, new developments in smart homes and communicating room controllers.
