Secondly, I contacted the prison, and asked if their policies could include informing either the victim or an agency as ourselves, about forthcoming releases. Q3. The client is in my view at Pre-Contemplation, as she is acknowledging a problem, recognizing the increase of violence but denying its “Domestic violence”. Tracy was upstairs and heard a noise like a screech; she ran downstairs and screamed “what happened”. The partner said nothing, but as she looked at the baby, the fist mark on his forehead was actually swelling before her eyes. At that moment the social worker knocked on the door and Tracy let her in. The police were then called, as it was obvious that the partner had thumped the baby. She also described on another occasion the partner picking the dog up by his back legs and splitting them outwards. I found it very difficult to get those images out of my head. I woke on a few occasions with those images being very vivid. I also questioned my ability to continue my working relationship with Tracy, due to the fact she was still with her partner. I also questioned how this could happen and why was the partner still able to have rights and visit his child (under supervision).
