Triple filter
The scholar was approached by an acquaintance who wanted to share gossip about a friend. However, the scholar proposed a "triple filter test" before listening: 1) Is what you're saying true? 2) Is it good? 3) Is it useful? The acquaintance admitted that the gossip failed all three filters, so the scholar advised against sharing unverified, negative information that serves no purpose. The story illustrates the importance in Islam of only sharing truthful, constructive information.
Team work
The story describes a race between a tortoise and a hare. In the original version, the hare quickly jumps ahead but gets overconfident and falls asleep, allowing the tortoise to slowly but steadily win the race. However, a newer version continues the story - the hare does better in a rematch by running consistently without stopping. A third race adds a river obstacle, which the tortoise navigates by swimming, winning again. They realize working as a team by using each other's strengths is best, and they cross the finish line together in the final race. The moral is the importance of situational leadership and leveraging individual competencies through teamwork.
Mymom
1) The document describes the narrator's difficult relationship with their mother who had only one eye and worked multiple jobs to support the family, which embarrassed the narrator.
2) As a child, the narrator ignored and was rude to their mother during an attempt she made to visit them at school.
3) Later in life, the narrator was successful in their studies, moved away, and built a happy life but remained distant from their mother. However, she came for a surprise visit after many years and the narrator angrily screamed at her and told her to leave.
4) The mother quietly apologized and left, and the narrator later reflected with regret on their past treatment of her.
Rabindranath tagore
Rabindranath Tagore was a famous Indian writer, poet, painter and lecturer born in 1861 in Kolkata. Some of his most notable works included Gitanjali and Jana Gana Mana. He was married to Mrinalini Devi and passed away in 1941. As a painter, Tagore believed that art allowed man to reveal himself rather than just objects, and that the world speaks to him through colors which his soul answers through music. He also founded Shantineketan University.
Heart
Heart disease is the number one killer in the United States. It is caused by atherosclerosis which leads to a build up of fatty deposits in the arteries. This can partially or fully block arteries leading to conditions like coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction (heart attack), or congestive heart failure. Risk factors include age, family history, hypertension, high cholesterol, obesity, smoking, and physical inactivity. The risk of heart disease can be reduced by adopting a healthy diet low in saturated fat and sodium, engaging in regular exercise, and not smoking.

The four candles of Peace, Faith, Love, and Hope are slowly burning. Peace and Faith extinguish themselves as they feel they are no longer indispensable. Love also goes out, feeling people have forgotten its importance. When a child enters and sees the unlit candles, Hope insists it can relight the others while it still burns, representing the power of hope to reignite lost peace, faith, and love. The child does so, showing that hope should never fade and we can all uphold hope, faith, peace, and love.

Butterfly
- 1. A Butterfly’s Lesson ”One day, a small opening appeared in a cocoon; a man sat and watched for the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole.
- 2. Then, it seems to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could not go any further.
- 3. So the man decided to help the butterfly: he took a pair of scissors and opened the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily. But it had a withered body, it was tiny and shriveled wings.
- 4. The man continued to watch because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would open, enlarge and expand, to be able to support the butterfly’s body, and become firm.
- 5. Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a withered body and shriveled wings. It never was able to fly.
- 6. What the man, in his kindness and his goodwill did not understand was that the restricting cocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening, were God’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings, so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
- 7. Sometimes, struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If God allowed us to go through our life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as we could have been. Never been able to fly.
- 8. I asked for Strength... and God gave me difficulties to make me strong. I asked for Wisdom... and God gave me problems to solve. I asked for prosperity... and God gave me a brain and brawn to work.
- 9. I asked for Courage….. and God gave me obstacles to overcome. I asked for Love... and God gave me troubled people to help.
- 10. I asked for Favors... And God gave me Opportunities. “I received nothing I wanted... But I received everything I needed."
- 11. Live life without fear, confront all obstacles and know that you can overcome them. Send this message to your friends and show them how much you care. Send it to anybody that you consider a FRIEND, even if this means to send it to the same person that conveyed it to you.
