PROGRAM MANAGEMENT OFFICE

HOUSTON, TEXAS 77077
All LOGCAP IV employees –
Day 1843 of “ 1 Day at a Time” campaign closed
accident, injury free and without a near miss.
We will focus today’s message on a “Caught in
the Act” of doing the right thing from Erbil.
It’s always rewarding to see employee’s
step-up to the plate and hit a home run!
Well that’s just what Yumbya Kisia,
Journeyman Electrician and Curtis Brown,
Master Electrician did while half of their team
was on R&R. The Erbil Site Management
handed the two electricians some pretty
challenging tasks. Yumbya and Curtis would
start out in the morning and unless you
called them or tracked them down on a job; you might not see them until the end of
the day. They handled all the Electrical call-out services (P1 emergencies and routine
service orders) and they also completed special tasks assigned to them by
management.
Speaking of expectations – while out observing project performance and general site
inspections, the General Site Manager, Gunnard Tahtinen and Facilities Supervisor,
Daniel Swanson inspected Electrical container in preparation of the Property
Management System Analysis (PMSA). When they arrived at the Electrical container;
they were in awe at how immaculate the container was kept and how all the parts
and supplies were meticulously placed in the proper bin locations. Site Management
team were truly impressed. Yumbya Kisia and Curtis Brown went above and beyond
what Site Management was expec ting. All these tasks were completed without
accidents or injuries.
Both Electricians were caught doing the right thing! They used their time wisely and
although they were given several tasks to do with a little time and no help, they did it!
Thank you in advance for making today a safe day!
