The French Book Office of the Embassy puts French and Indian
professionals from the publishing industry in touch. It informs and
assists both Indian and French publishers, translators, writers and
readers towards this end, working as a real channel of connection
between the two publishing worlds. As a result, professional and
rights exchanges between Indian and French publishers have
increased considerably over the past few years. Even so, gauging
the expectations of the Indian market and helping Indian
publishers understand those of the French market continue to be
of paramount importance to us. Thus, we are making the most of
this opportunity to bring French and Indian publishers together
