This document outlines tasks for producing mock pages for a new school magazine and music magazine. Candidates must create the front page of the school magazine with a student photograph and appropriately laid out text and masthead. They must also create a mock contents page layout. For the main task, candidates must produce the front page, contents page, and a double page article spread for a new music magazine using a minimum of four original images and text per candidate.

2. Print
Preliminary exercise; using DTP and an image manipulation
program, produce the front page of a new school/college
magazine, featuring a photograph of a student in a medium close-
up plus some appropriately laid-out text and a masthead .
Additionally candidates must produce a mock-up or the layout of
the content page to demonstrate their grasp of DTP.
Main task; the front page, contents and a double page spread or a
new music magazine.
All images and text used must be original, produced by
the candidate(s), minimum of four images per candidate.
