The Louisiana Command College is a partnership between the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and LSU's Stephenson Disaster Management Institute to provide leadership training and certification programs for Louisiana's emergency management and homeland security professionals. It aims to close training gaps through conducting needs assessments, delivering quality training, coordinating curriculum, and developing training tracks and requirements for different audiences. The training tracks include foundational, professional, and advanced certification programs for parish OHSEP directors that can provide credits towards college degrees and qualifications for emergency management certifications.
