15. Australian label BC created a media stir in August 2014
through the launch of a much anticipated base collection
made to work into everybody’s wardrobe, everyday.
The designer Tarek Kourhani has teamed up with notable
Australian fashion blogger, Kaitlyn Ham of MODERN LEGA-
CY in a seamless collaboration.
Staying true to the minimalist ethos which has become the
label’s signature, Kaitlyn has designed a capsule collection
of seven classic pieces in a clean monochromatic palette of
ash grey, ivory and black.
“This collaboration between BC and myself formed from our
shared passion for clean, understated basics with a luxe
edge. The designs are heavily influenced by my own mini-
malist aesthetic, with each item able to coordinate with oth-
er pieces in the collection to create a timeless and wearable
range for the modern wardrobe.”

Blessed are the Meek and BC designer
Tarek Kourhani has had a meteoric rise in the
industry. Showcasing his first collection at
Australian Fashion Week in 2011 at the age
of 23 this talented designer is indeed a force
to be reckoned with. During an internship
with The Row in NYC and a tenure in London
with Victoria Beckham, Tarek refined his skill
for mixing relaxed urban silhouettes with high
end finishes to bring a street edge meets sexy
couture aesthetic to his ranges.
