Thomas L. Friedman is an American journalist and author who has won three Pulitzer Prizes. His latest book, Thank You for Being Late, discusses how accelerations in technology, globalization, and climate change since 2007 have dramatically increased the pace of change in our world. He identifies computer technology, globalization, and climate change as three "accelerators" reshaping society. Friedman argues that we must adapt faster through lifelong learning, responsive governments and workplaces, and seeking the common good of communities. Otherwise, we risk being left behind as the world changes increasingly quickly around us.
