Amelia Bedelia and her cousin Cousin Alcolu plan a surprise shower for their friend Miss Alma, but several mishaps occur. They cook cookies and ice fish, but Amelia irons the tablecloth. At the party, Miss Alma gets wet from the flowers in the silver bowl and her gifts get damp in her lap. Additionally, the fish are served raw. However, the party is ultimately a success when Amelia brings tea and cupcakes, and everyone has a good laugh as Miss Alma opens her gifts.

Amelia Bedelia and Cousin Alcolu made a
Surprise Shower, for Miss Alma.
They cooked cookies, and they iced the
fish,
Amelia got the iron and ran all over that
tablecloth.
She put the flowers in the silver bowl.
They bought some gifts for Miss Alma and
cleaned the house.

3. The story takes place in Amelia’s garden on
Tuesday.

4. The problem was that everybody thought that the
party was bad, because Miss Alma got wet and
her gifts were damping on Miss Alma lap.
Miss Alma was very angry because the fish were
raw.

5. The solution was that the party
succeeded after all when Amelia brought
tea and chocolate cupcakes.
Everybody was laughing.
Miss Alma opened her gifts.
And everybody were happy!!

6. In this story Mrs. Alma getting married.
Her friends made her a surprise

I think that this is a nice habit.
Amelia made an effort to make her
friend happy and this is a nice thing to
do for a friend.
