 Students observe and describe today’s weather
 Discuss appropriate clothing worn in different
kinds of weather.
 We will got through a bag of clothes (bathing
suits, mittens, shorts, winter coat, etc. and
categorize what we wear in each season.
 Students use their senses to observe weather
 Students discuss and record data about
observable weather features
 Students brainstorm questions they have about
weather
 Students read about and discuss how
meteorologists study the weather
 Students observe and discuss thermometers as
told that measure temperature.
 Students read number on thermometer scale.
 Students relate the number to be hot or cold.
 Students conduct an experiment with multiple
fabrics and water.
 Students make predictions.
 Students record results and draw conclusions.
