All-Time Series: The Hounds are just 2-5 in games versus the Cannons since 2012, with both wins coming in their last two meetings
Previous Season Results: The Hounds and Cannons split the regular season in 2014, with each team winning its respective home game
Last Meeting: These two teams last met in Foxboro, MA on April 26. The Hounds jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the first quarter, but the Cannons battled back to make
it a 6-5 game at the half. Charlotte dominated the third quarter and built an 11-6 advantage, but Boston again rallied.With 35 seconds left on the game clock and the
Hounds up 11-10,Josh Amidon fired a shot through Pierce Bassett's legs to tie the game and force overtime. The teams traded possessions in the extra period before
the ball ended up in Jake Tripucka’s stick.Tripucka found Tom DeNapoli behind the cage, who then fed Mike Sawyer for the game-winning goal.

Marcus Holman Leads Machine Over Hounds 14-10
Attackman finishes with six goals
DELAWARE, OH (May 16, 2015) — On a rainy Saturday night in Delaware, OH, the home town Ohio Machine topped the visiting Charlotte Hounds
14-10. Machine attackman Marcus Holman lead the way with six goals, earning Coca-Cola Player of the Game honors, while goalie Brian Phipps
finished with 21 saves. Meanwhile, the Hounds’ top scorer was midfielder John Haus (2g, 1a) and Pierce Bassett made 19 stops in net.
Holman struck first for the Machine, sneaking a low shot past Bassett. Brendan Fowler won the ensuing faceoff for the Hounds and Michael Ehrhardt
scored off a rebound to tie the game at 1-1 early. Joe Cinosky was hit with a slashing penalty 80 seconds later, setting up the Machine’s Steele
Stanwick for a go-ahead power-play goal.After some brilliant saves at both ends of the field, Jake Tripucka forced his way to the net and scored low-
to-high to knot the game at 2-2. But the Hounds were called offsides with 34 seconds remaining in the quarter, allowing Holman to score his second of
the night with 17.5 left on the clock.
The Hounds tied the game again early in the second quarter, as Justin Ward found Haus on the crease to make it three all. But the Machine scored
four straight goals over the next 10 minutes to build a 7-3 advantage.The teams traded goals to make it an 8-4 game at the half.
Zach Palmer and Holman scored early in the third quarter to push the Machine in front 10-4. One minute later Kevin Drew found the back of the net
to cut the lead to five. But the Machine strung together another two goals, including the sixth of the night from Holman, to move in front 12-5. Mike
Chanenchuk got on the board for the Hounds with 20 seconds left to play in the third.
Chanenchuk kept things moving for the Hounds early in the fourth, finding Haus on his right side. Haus beat Phipps high, closing the gap to 12-7.The
teams continued to trade goals, though Charlotte finished with two-straight from Josh Dionne and Mike Sawyer to account for the 14-10 final.
The Hounds (1-4) return home on Saturday, May 23, and will look to get back on track against the Boston Cannons (1-3), who are coming off their bye
week.The game will be played at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte, NC, with faceoff scheduled for 7:00pm.The contest will be followed
by a fireworks show to celebrate Memorial Day Weekend.

CANNONS RALLY FOR THRILLING OT WIN
Foxborough, MA (May 17, 2015) – Tonight marked a monumental evening for both the Boston Cannons and Major League Lacrosse.The Cannons became the second MLL team to
reach 100 wins and also retired legend Ryan Boyle’s #14 jersey, the first jersey retirement in MLL history. It was an all-night battle between two talented teams when the Cannons faced
off against the Rochester Rattlers at Gillette Stadium.The Cannons fought until the end winning in overtime, 17-16.
Right off the first face-off, the Cannons came out flying, dominating possession at the start of the game. Midfielder Rob Emery began the scoring early for the Cannons, only forty
seconds into the game, off a Kevin Buchanan pass. Captain Max Seibald got his first point of the night dishing out an assist to Buchanan to give the Cannons a 2-0 lead over the
Rattlers three minutes in. Rochester fired back with two goals of their own to tie it up at two with eight minutes remaining in the first quarter. Cannons goaltender Jordan Burke came
up with multiple key saves to shut down the persistent Rattlers offense; however, the respite was only brief.The Rattlers netted three more goals to gain a 5-2 lead over the Cannons
going in to the second quarter.
The Rattlers were first to strike in the second quarter, netting a goal that was challenged by the Cannons and eventually waived off due to crease violation.Two of the Cannons captains
linked up to answer with a goal of their own, scored by Will Manny and assisted by Scott Ratliff.The Rattlers challenged the goal but the call on the field was confirmed; the Rattlers
were charged one time out due to their lost challenge.With just over ten minutes remaining in the half, the Rattlers found the back of the net twice to make the score 7-3. Davey Emala
scored his first of the night off a Manny feed. Rochester attackman Jordan Wolf netted his fourth of the evening, and fifteenth of the season with less than seven minutes remaining in
the half. Manny responded for the Cannons offense, netting a goal to cut (assisted by Emery) the Rattlers lead to three before the end of the first half.The final minutes of the half were
filled with multiple up and down runs by both teams and with the score at 8-5 in favor of the away team.
The Cannons controlled much of the possession in the first few minutes the third quarter but could not capitalize on their offensive opportunities.After a Rochester goal, Manny scored
his third of the night off a Ryan Young feed.Two more Rattlers points pushed the score to 11-6 halfway through the third quarter.The third quarter featured many shots and big saves
from both teams. Ratliff scored an unassisted two-point goal and Brent Adams found the back of the net for the first time tonight to cut the Rochester lead to two. Before the third
quarter wrapped up, the Rattlers found the back of the net one more time to lead 12-9.
Emala fired up the Cannons to start the quarter by netting an unassisted goal a mere thirty seconds into the final quarter of the game. Less than a minute later, Manny found the back
of the net for the fourth time tonight for Boston off a Buchanan feed. On the next Rochester offensive attack, Cannons goalie Burke came up with a huge diving save to keep the
Cannons in the game, only down by one goal at that point.With seven minutes remaining in the game, the Rattlers scored again, but Craig Bunker took it right off the face-off to score
a key goal for the Cannons.The Cannons found the back of the net again one minute later to tie it up, this time off an unassisted goal from Seibald.
The final minutes of the game featured a hard-fought physical battle between the two teams. Rochester’s Mike O’Neil took the ball coast-to-coast to take the lead again for the Rattlers,
14-13. However, the Cannons fired back seconds later with a goal from Erik Smith assisted by Manny (his 7th
point of the night).With 3:30 left to play in the game, Boston took the
lead, 15-14, for the first time since early on in the first quarter. Emala finished off his hat trick with the goal, dished by Buchanan. Emala netted another from a Manny feed to take a
two-goal lead with two minutes remaining.The Rattlers answered with a goal to cut it down to one yet again.With 50 seconds remaining, Rochester tied the game up at 16 to send it to
overtime.After multiple shots missing just wide of the net, Manny won the game for the Cannons, scoring his fifth goal of the night.
Tonight’s Coca Cola Player of the Game is Captain Will Manny. He netted five goals and dished out four assists for nine total points.
The Cannons now head on the road to take on the Charlotte Hound on the 23rd
. Boston returns home on May 30th
to face the Florida Launch at 6pm.

ROSTER REPORT: The Hounds made several roster moves the week. On Monday, the team waived backup goalie Sean Aaron and claimed midfielder
Shamel Bratton from the New York Lizards’ practice squad. On Thursday, the Hounds traded a 2016 Fourth-Round Collegiate Draft Pick to the Florida
Launch in exchange for attack Kevin Cunningham.The team also waived faceoff specialist J.P. Dalton and practice squad member Matthew Sawyer.
The Hounds then moved attack Billy Ward to the practice squad and activated collegiate draftee Joey Sankey (A, UNC).
