- 10. BE ON TIME! The tardy issue is out of control and it shows a LACK OF RESPONSIBILITY!! You are allowed to carry a string bag so there is NO EXCUSE to be late! How can you avoid being late and make sure you have everything you need for each class? RESPONSIBILITY AT SCHOOL
- 11. Your Daily Schedule On the back of your handout list the class and teacher/room # for each period throughout the day. What materials do you need for each class? Think about your bathroom needs, when is the best time to use the restroom? Plan your route using the map on the next slide! RESPONSIBILITY AT SCHOOL

- 14. RESPONSIBILITY IN YOUR COMMUNITY Whatis your community? Is it defined by streets or by something else? How do you act in various places in your community? Are there different expectations for different places? (the mall, movies, restaurant) RESPONSIBILITY IN YOUR COMMUNITY
- 15. RESPONSIBILITY IN YOUR COMMUNITY Sometimes being responsible is a burden. A lopsided obligation. A lonely and thankless job. In the short film Lighthouse on the next slide, a grumpy lighthouse keeper makes sure that a safe little seaside town stays that way, by dutifully maintaining the beacon that shines above it. Then disaster threatens, full-speed ahead. Until he finally sees the light. As you watch the video, think about ways you can be responsibility in your community! RESPONSIBILITY IN YOUR COMMUNITY

- 17. In conclusion… Most peoplethink of a grownup as someone who takes responsibility for his/her own life. And being responsible shows your parents that you are growing up and can handle more freedom. Here are six ways to be a responsible person. 1. Take care of your own affairs. 2. Follow through on commitments. 3. Answer for your own actions. 4. Be trustworthy. 5. Don’t procrastinate. 6. Always use your head.
