Over time the program has become more sector-focussed.
MMP creates links and networks for Norwegian companies.
Job creation (1997-2009) estimated at 500-600 jobs in South
Africa.
Number of closures have reduced and this attributed to greater
organisational efficiency and networking.
IN culture and network are service orientated and
entrepreneurial.

Interviewed companies in their sample confirmed:
Aborted co-operations were caused by market conditions,
lack of commitment, or companies going bankrupt.
Factors for success included a good fit between partners,
timing and commitment, a defined project and objective
to work together.
Norwegian companies who had a former experience of
Africa, were more prepared to do business.
