In this digital era, people's lives are influenced by the technological advancements altering and
dominating human life every day. Social networking, online shopping, online education, online jobs,
every possible thing that one can think of, can be done online. With technological advancements and
increased use of the internet comes the growing risk of cybercrimes. Technological progress has
developed linearly with the advancement of cybercrimes. Cybercrime is different from any other crime
happening in the society. The reason being, it has no geographical boundaries, and the cyber criminals
are ‘unknown’. It is affecting all the stakeholders - Government, Businesses, citizens etc. - alike. One of
the most common reasons for cybercrimes is the lack of awareness amongst users. As technology and
our use of it evolves, so does cybercrime and the way criminals capitalise on vulnerable people or
systems for their gain. Over the past few years, the Indian Government has employed several
programmes and schemes to ensure the proper fulfilment of the infrastructural requirements to
facilitate such growth. Under such circumstances, apart from having a resilient cyber security
framework in place, it is very important for organisations to promote Cyber Security awareness
amongst its employees. With this in view, Corporate IT engaged C-DAC (Centre for Development of
Advanced Computing), Kolkata for formulation of a Cyber Security Policy and other Cyber Security
related activities. As a part of this engagement, C-DAC conducted a Cyber Security awareness session
