• Founded and launched in 2000 by local government
agency (NWDA)
• Supported the sector through significant investment
and cluster support
• Worked with many companies across the sector from
Astra Zeneca to small start up businesses
• Original focus was Northwest of England

15th March 2011
Bionow Ltd formed as a Company Limited by Guarantee (CLG)
and started trading 15th March 2011 as a member based support
organisation to the North west biomedical community
2nd July 2012
Bionow Ltd and Cels Ltd announce that they have merged to
create one business support and services organisation for the
North of England’s life science cluster.
