This creative teaching activity uses games to remind children or youth that the Christian faith is not a I can't religion. It is always a I can religion. The assurance is found in Phil 4:13, I can do everything through him who gives me strength. In this passage we are promised the strength to deal all adversities of life - trials and temptations. This power is given to us as long as we are in Christ.

Great talk and Q&A from Gary Vaynerchuk at National Achiever's Congress 2019 in Singapore... Lots of takeaways but these are powerful: "Eliminate friction between your message and your customer" and "The INTENT of content is the VARIABLE of Success." So does your message create friction? What is the intent of your content? Are you real and adding value or is your content just an "ask" wrapped in content?

Thanksgiving Party Activity - Looking BackKen Sapp
Thanksgiving is an American Holiday where people set aside a day to remember what God has done for them over the past one year and praise Him and give Him thanks for the works He has done in their lives. This game plays on the idea of looking forward yet being able to recognize and picture what is behind. It serves as a metaphor for us, also looking forward to the future, but taking some time to picture and recognize what God has done in the past."
Although gummy bears were invented by German Candy maker Hans Reigel in 1922, the gummy worm is a relatively recent concept. The Gummy bear wasn’t shipped to America until around 1981 and then an American candy company extended the idea to gummy worms to give kids something fun to eat and to shock their parents. Gummy worms are one of the most popular gummy candies around. Use these games with gummy worms as an object lesson to talk about Jesus’ call to his disciples to become fishers of men.
Even if you don’t want to be involved with Halloween, you’ll want to grab at least one of those plastic or paper Halloween skeletons for this object lesson / game.
Halloween Party Activity - Pumpkin PicassoKen Sapp
How well can you draw the Halloween Jack-o-Lantern? Here is a great youth game idea for the Halloween season. You can use it to bring a fresh spiritual meaning to the holiday and allow your youth to apply it to seeking God’s plan and direction for their lives. You could even relate it to a talk about not conforming to the patterns of the world. Be creative and have a great week! And for those completely adverse to anything associated with Halloween, see the alternative variation under the “preparation” section.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Activity
In the broken-car relay, each team
runs several consecutive races.
1. In each race they will pretend
that they're part of a car with a
problem, such as a stuck horn
that's blaring incessantly or
windshield wipers that won't stop
moving. The children run the race
acting out what's broken. For
example, if the car is stuck in
reverse, the children will run
backwards.
4. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com
2. Before each race begins, tell
the runners what problems
their car will have.
3. Choose a starting point and a
turnaround line that are about
20 feet apart and then divide
the children into two teams, or
have them pick which team
they want to be in. Each team
should line up single file behind
the starting line.
4. At your signal, (dropping a
checkered flag?) the race
begins.
5. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com
5. One by one the children run
to the turnaround line and
back while pretending to be
the car with the first problem.
6. After all the children on one
team have had the first
problem, they run again, this
time with the second problem
and then the third, etc. The
first team that completes all of
the relays wins the race.
6. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com
Hints
Young children may have a
hard time figuring out what
motions to use while they run.
You can always give them
ideas or help them to come up
with their own.
7. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com
Application
Paul compares the Christian
life, not to a car race, but to a
human race where the
runners press toward the
prize. But sometimes we have
problems running the race
God has given us. We don't
live up to our potential.
8. www.CreativeYouthIdeas.com
Discussion
1. What are some of our
problems that prevent us
from running the Christian
race at our best?
2. How can we get our lives
tuned up for victory?
3. What do you need to
change this week to become
more victorious in your
Christian life?
