This document discusses goal setting and provides guidance on defining goals. It emphasizes that goals should be specific, measurable, and have defined timelines. Goals can be either objective, with clear targets, or subjective. The document outlines a goal setting model that involves identifying needs, reaching goals, and setting plans to achieve them through preparation and benchmarks. It also discusses why some people do not set goals and provides tips like breaking long-term goals into short-term steps. The overall message is that defining and planning goals is important for achieving outcomes.
Presented in this short document is a description of what is called Advanced Process Monitoring (APM) as described by Hedengren (2013). APM is the term given to the technique of estimating unmeasured but observable variables or "states" using statistical data reconciliation and regression (DRR) in an off-line or real-time environment and is also referred to as Moving Horizon Estimation (MHE) (Robertson et. al., 1996). Essentially, the model and data define a simultaneous nonlinear and dynamic DRR problem where the model is either engineering-based (first-principles, fundamental, mechanistic, causal, rigorous) or empirical-based (correlation, statistical data-based, observational, regressed) or some combination of both (hybrid).
The rough cut music video analyzes genre characteristics of pop music, including editing on the beat, close-up shots, stylistic editing, and casual outfits. It aims to show a relationship between the visuals and lyrics by filming in locations relating to the lyrics. It also matches the pace of editing and lighting to the slow music. The video attempts to sell the artist as a young, trendy woman in love through her expressions, fashion, and natural appearance. Elements like brick wall shots and sped-up footage reference other music videos. Close-up shots of the artist's emotions allow the audience to view her as a sentimental person rather than an object.

This document outlines the Network Advertising Initiative's (NAI) self-regulatory code of conduct for 2008. It contains 4 sections: an introduction to online behavioral advertising and the NAI's role in self-regulation, terminology definitions, requirements for NAI members, and procedural matters for enforcement. The requirements section specifies that NAI members must provide transparency, notice of data collection and use practices, and consumer choice options that vary based on the type of data used (e.g. non-PII, PII, sensitive info). Members must also limit data use to marketing purposes and not collect PII without consumer permission. The goal is to balance effective online advertising with maintaining consumer privacy and trust.

In dit artikel worden de resultaten van de pilot gepresenteerd. Dit gebeurt, conform de Best Value aanpak, zo veel mogelijk met metrics.
The document provides an introduction to Industrial Modeling Language (IML), which allows users to configure data for modeling and solving large-scale industrial optimization problems. It describes how IML data is categorized into quantities, logic, and quality dimensions. The reference manual focuses specifically on configuring quantity data using frames with different features and fields. Frames are similar to sheets in a spreadsheet and are used to apply quantity-logic-quality attributes to unit-operation-port-state superstructure keys. The document outlines several basic frames and their fields for configuring quantity-only problem types.

The document discusses different home security systems such as GSM alarm systems which notify owners by phone if triggered, and wireless security systems which are easier to install and move than wired systems. It also discusses using a toy robot trained to guard a home and asks questions about current security system usage and preferences. Overall the document compares different home security options and gathers opinions about security system choices.
Managed Link Strategies - The Page/Brin Effectbigbill43
Larry Page and Sergey Brin created the concept of link popularity while developing Google, realizing that websites with more incoming links from other websites are more important. Each incoming link can be considered a vote for a website's importance. Search engines like Google use link popularity and assign a PageRank value between 0 and 10 to determine a website's relevance. However, getting links is complex - the type, quality, and anchor text of links all impact PageRank. One-way incoming links have the most value, but varying anchor text avoids appearing spammy. Building an effective link strategy takes time.

Presented in this short document is a description of what we call "Phasing" and "Planuling". Phasing is a variation of the sequence-dependent changeover problem (Kelly and Zyngier, 2007, Balas et. al., 2008) except that the sequencing, cycling or phasing is fixed as opposed to being variable or free. Planuling is a portmanteau of planning and scheduling where we "schedule" slow processes and we "plan" fast processes together inside the same time-horizon and can also be considered as "hybrid" planning and scheduling.
