2. Basic Me I was born and raised in Leipsic, OH, which is about 30 minutes from Findlay. I graduated from Leipsic High School in 2005 and then went to Bluffton University. I graduated from BU in 2009 with my BA in Music Cognition.
3. A little bit more interesting… I’ve been working at Sunshine Children’s Home since graduating from BU. Sunshine is like Blanchard Valley Center here in Findlay – we provide day services and residential services for people with special needs. I started out working in the Recreation Department, but eventually moved to the group homes. I really enjoy working with this part of our population – which is why I decided to pursue my Masters Degree in Intervention Specialist.
4. My hobbies… When I’m not busy, I enjoy watching Ohio State football, The Biggest Loser, and The Office, as well as doing puzzles, baking, and spending time and having fun with friends and family.
5. Me on the inside… I have an irrational fear of flashing lights. I love anything and everything that has to do with coffee. My 14-year-old sister is taller than me. My biggest pet peeve is when people crack their knuckles/back/whatever around me, especially when they do it just to annoy me. I think that penguins are the cutest animals on our earth. I’m an advocate for recycling. I dislike strange restrooms. And I firmly believe that despite all the trouble and torment in the world, people really are good at heart.
