The document discusses creating Linked Open Data (LOD) microthesauri from the Art & Architecture Thesaurus (AAT). It defines a microthesaurus as a designated subset of a thesaurus that can function independently. The document provides an overview of creating an AAT-based LOD dataset for a digital art and architecture collection. It also demonstrates how to extract concept URIs and labels from the AAT thesaurus structure using SPARQL queries to build microthesauri.
The document appears to be a series of slides from a June 9, 2015 presentation. Each slide is labeled with the date and name of the presentation followed by combinations of letters A, B, and C. There is no other substantive information provided.
This PowerPoint presentation discusses using classroom polling to provide feedback for active learning. It contains multiple lecture slides on the topic of classroom polling and feedback for active learning. The presentation concludes by stating it is time to ask review questions using an eInstruction classroom polling system to provide feedback.
The document summarizes a presentation about knowledge organization systems (KOS) such as thesauri, classification systems, taxonomies, subject heading lists, and ontologies. It provides examples of using semantic web technologies like RDF, SKOS, and OWL to represent KOS online in a linked open data framework, allowing interlinking between concepts in different KOS and discovery of additional information.

Using a Semantic Analysis Tool to Generate Subject Access Points: A Study us...Marcia Zeng
Presented at ISKO2014 Conference by Marcia Lei Zeng, Karen F. Gracy, and Maja Žumer. The paper attempts to explore an approach of using an automatic semantic analysis tool to enhance the “subject” access to materials that are not included in the usual library subject cataloging process. Using two research samples the authors analyzed the access points supplied by OpenCalais, a semantic analysis tool. As an aid in understanding how computerized subject analysis might be approached, this paper suggests using the three-layer framework that has been accepted and applied in image analysis, developed by Erwin Panofsky.
