9. Summer Training Review Committee
(STRC)
Basic Cadets who do not meet passing standards may meet the STRC to
determine potential remediation actions or LON
Records review with STRC Board, JA, and Sq/CC, AOC, AMT
Failure or Lack of Aptitude/Effort in 1 of the 6 Major Graded Areas may cause
CC to consider a STRC
Daily Performance (pass 30 of 38 days)
Weekly Aptitude Evaluations (pass 4 of 5 weekly evals)
Performance Evaluations (have 70%, or higher, average for Stan/Eval graded events
like SAMI, drill, PAI, and Post Test)
Physically Rigorous Training (must participate in 67% of PRT events)
Field Courses (must participate and pass all JVTC courses)
Commanders Awareness Program (cannot be on CAP past DOT 35)

12. CAP
This tool focuses supervisory attention on a Basic Cadet’s progress in training, specific
deficiencies and potential to complete the program
Place/Remove on/from CAP with MFR or AF 174
Basic Cadets, once placed, are given an opportunity to recognize and improve the areas of
deficiency.
Placement and removal are at the AOCs discretion
Types:
Conduct: behavior or conduct raises doubt concerning his/her qualification to become a cadet
Aptitude: pattern of performance and/or consistent inability to meet Cadet Wing standards
Honor: committed an act that would be deemed an honor code infraction during the academic year.
Infractions include lying, stealing, cheating, or tolerating such actions of another Basic Cadet/cadet
Athletic: fitness performance indicates he/she may not pass the PFT at the conclusion of BCT
Medical: when there exists concern for the physical and/or psychological well-being of a basic cadet
Personal Issue: basic cadets with performance issues may be dealing with issues beyond their coping
skills.
