Mental health has been in the news quite a bit lately. Dozens of U.S. states are currently suing Meta for contributing to the youth mental health crisis by inserting addictive features into their products, while the U.S. Surgeon General is touring the nation to bring awareness to the growing epidemic of loneliness and isolation. The country has endured periods of low national morale, such as in the 1970s when high inflation and the energy crisis worsened public sentiment following the Vietnam War. The current mood, however, feels different. Gallup recently reported that national mental health is at an all-time low, with few bright spots to lift spirits.
To better understand how Americans are feeling and their attitudes towards mental health in general, ThinkNow conducted a nationally representative quantitative survey of 1,500 respondents and found some interesting differences among ethnic, age and gender groups.
Technology
For example, 52% agree that technology and social media have a negative impact on mental health, but when broken out by race, 61% of Whites felt technology had a negative effect, and only 48% of Hispanics thought it did.
While technology has helped us keep in touch with friends and family in faraway places, it appears to have degraded our ability to connect in person. Staying connected online is a double-edged sword since the same news feed that brings us pictures of the grandkids and fluffy kittens also feeds us news about the wars in Israel and Ukraine, the dysfunction in Washington, the latest mass shooting and the climate crisis.
Hispanics may have a built-in defense against the isolation technology breeds, owing to their large, multigenerational households, strong social support systems, and tendency to use social media to stay connected with relatives abroad.
Age and Gender
When asked how individuals rate their mental health, men rate it higher than women by 11 percentage points, and Baby Boomers rank it highest at 83%, saying it’s good or excellent vs. 57% of Gen Z saying the same.
Gen Z spends the most amount of time on social media, so the notion that social media negatively affects mental health appears to be correlated. Unfortunately, Gen Z is also the generation that’s least comfortable discussing mental health concerns with healthcare professionals. Only 40% of them state they’re comfortable discussing their issues with a professional compared to 60% of Millennials and 65% of Boomers.
Race Affects Attitudes
As seen in previous research conducted by ThinkNow, Asian Americans lag other groups when it comes to awareness of mental health issues. Twenty-four percent of Asian Americans believe that having a mental health issue is a sign of weakness compared to the 16% average for all groups. Asians are also considerably less likely to be aware of mental health services in their communities (42% vs. 55%) and most likely to seek out information on social media (51% vs. 35%).

MAGISTRALE A CICLO UNICO IN MEDICINA E CHIRURGIA (CLASSE LM‐ 41)

Vista la legge 02.08.1999, n. 264 recante norme in materia di accessi ai corsi universitari;
Vista il decreto ministeriale 22 ottobre 2004, n. 270 “Modifiche al Regolamento recante
norme concernenti l’autonomia didattica degli Atenei, approvato con decreto del
Ministro dell’Università e della ricerca scientifica e tecnologica 3 novembre 1999, n.
509”;
Preso atto che presso l’Università degli Studi di Milano sono attivati quattro corsi di laurea
magistrale a ciclo unico in Medicina e Chirurgia (classe LM – 41);
Visto il decreto del Ministero dell’Università e della Ricerca Scientifica e tecnologica in
data 11/06/2010 che definisce le modalità ed i contenuti delle prove di ammissione ai
corsi di laurea e di laurea magistrale a ciclo unico programmati a livello nazionale
per l’anno accademico 2010/2011;
Visto il decreto ministeriale del 02/07/2010 (definizione posti disponibili per ammissioni
corso di laurea magistrale in Medicina e Chirurgia );
D e c r e t a
L’ammissione degli studenti ai corsi di laurea magistrale a ciclo unico in Medicina e Chirurgia
avviene previo superamento di apposita prova, sulla base delle disposizioni del presente bando di
concorso:
Art.1 Requisiti per l’ammissione
Sono ammessi al concorso i diplomati degli istituti di istruzione secondaria di secondo grado.
Art. 2 Numero dei posti disponibili
Il numero dei posti disponibili ai sensi dell’art. 3 della legge 02.08.99, n. 264 è così determinato:
Corso di laurea in medicina e chirurgia Polo San Paolo:
85 posti + 1 riservato a studenti extracomunitari che non rientrano nella previsione del D. L.vo
25.7.1998, n.286, modificato dalla legge 30.7.2002, n. 189;
Corso di laurea in medicina e chirurgia Polo Vialba:
85 posti + 2 riservati a studenti extracomunitari che non rientrano nella previsione del D. L.vo
25.7.1998, n.286, modificato dalla legge 30.7.2002, n. 189;

Corso di laurea in medicina e chirurgia Polo Centrale:
170 posti + 2 riservati a studenti extracomunitari che non rientrano nella previsione del D. L.vo
25.7.1998, n.286, modificato dalla legge 30.7.2002, n. 189;
Corso di laurea internazionale in medicina e chirurgia in lingua inglese (Istituto Clinico
Humanitas):
20 posti + 20 riservati a studenti extracomunitari che non rientrano nella previsione del D. L.vo
25.7.1998, n.286, modificato dalla legge 30.7.2002, n. 189.
L’ammissione a questo corso è disposta previo superamento della prova nazionale in lingua
italiana e previo accertamento della conoscenza della lingua inglese.
L’accertamento della conoscenza della lingua inglese viene effettuata mediante verifica del
possesso delle certificazioni di cui all’articolo 4 o mediante apposita prova.
Qualora intervenissero modifiche legislative, la prova nazionale potrà svolgersi in lingua inglese.
Art. 3 Procedura di iscrizione alla prova e termini di scadenza
Le iscrizioni al test si effettueranno dal 15 LUGLIO 2010 alle ore 12 del 27 AGOSTO 2010 come di
seguito indicato:
• effettuare il versamento del contributo di € 50,00 presso gli sportelli di Intesa Sanpaolo,
utilizzando il modulo di pagamento “Codice 1”, disponibile sul sito www.unimi.it –
Segreterie Studenti – Moduli di pagamento.
• la banca rilascia una ricevuta con un codice di autorizzazione;
• effettuare l’iscrizione OBBLIGATORIA ai terminali self‐service oppure via web
all’indirizzo www.unimi.it – Servizi online SIFA – Servizi di ammissione (ammissione ai
corsi di laurea ad accesso programmato). Devono essere inseriti i dati personali: codice
fiscale, cognome e nome, luogo e data di nascita, corso di laurea prescelto, titolo di studio
conseguito, Istituto e votazione finale ottenuta, recapito e numero telefonico. L’inserimento
di dati non veritieri comporterà l’esclusione dalla graduatoria finale;
• i candidati devono obbligatoriamente indicare anche l’ordine di preferenza del corso a cui
intendono iscriversi;
• la procedura rilascerà una ricevuta che dovrà essere esibita al momento dell’identificazione
il giorno del test, pena esclusione dalla prova.
Art. 4 – Accertamento della conoscenza della lingua inglese, per il corso di laurea in inglese
Il giorno del test (2 settembre) i candidati interessati al corso in inglese devono consegnare una
delle seguenti certificazioni valide per l’accertamento della conoscenza della lingua inglese:
• FCE (First Certificate in English);
• IELTS con un punteggio minimo di 5,5 su 9;
• TOEFL con un punteggio minimo di 196 se computer based, 69 se internet based e 525 se
paper based;
• CAE (Certificate in Advanced English)
• CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English)

Per coloro che non sono in possesso delle suddette certificazioni è prevista una apposita prova che
si svolgerà il 7 settembre 2010 alle ore 13.30 presso il Settore Didattico di via Celoria, 20
(presentarsi con un documento di identità).
I candidati che non supereranno la prova di conoscenza della lingua inglese, saranno assegnati ad
uno dei corsi in lingua italiana sulla base delle preferenze espresse e della posizione in
graduatoria.
Art. 5 – Candidati Disabili –
Il candidato disabile deve specificare l’eventuale ausilio necessario in relazione al proprio
handicap, nonché l’eventuale necessità di tempi aggiuntivi per l’espletamento delle prove da
documentarsi entrambi a mezzo di idoneo certificato rilasciato dalla struttura sanitaria pubblica
competente per territorio, ai sensi della legge n. 104/92, così come modificata dalla legge n. 17/99.
Affinché la Commissione possa prendere i dovuti provvedimenti, le relative istanze devono essere
presentate alla segreteria studenti della Facoltà di Medicina e Chirurgia, in Via Santa Sofia 9/1
Milano, entro il termine di scadenza del presente bando (ore 12 del 27 agosto 2010).
Art.6 ‐ Studenti con titolo di studio conseguito all’estero ‐
I cittadini con titolo di studio conseguito all’estero, (italiani, comunitari, extracomunitari residenti
in Italia di cui alla legge 30/07/2002 n. 189, art. 26), accedono alla formazione universitaria a parità
di condizioni con gli studenti italiani.
Sono equiparati ai cittadini comunitari, i cittadini della Norvegia, Islanda, Liechtenstein e Svizzera.
L’ammissione avviene secondo le disposizioni impartite dal Ministero dell’Istruzione,
dell’Università e della Ricerca ed a condizione che i candidati superino le prove di ammissione,
collocandosi in posizione utile in graduatoria.
La domanda di partecipazione alla prova di selezione deve essere presentata, utilizzando apposito
modulo cartaceo, presso l’Ufficio studenti stranieri di questa Università – Via Santa Sofia 9/1 ‐
nelle date stabilite ed entro la scadenza prevista dal bando (ore 12 del 27 agosto 2010).
Art. 7 ‐ Commissione esaminatrice
La commissione esaminatrice è nominata con deliberazione del Consiglio della Facoltà di Medicina
e Chirurgia. Durante lo svolgimento delle prove, la commissione si avvarrà dell’assistenza di
personale docente e amministrativo addetto alla vigilanza ed all’identificazione dei candidati.
Art. 8 ‐ Programma d’esame e valutazione delle prove
Per l’accesso ai corsi di laurea magistrale a ciclo unico in Medicina e Chirurgia le relative prove di
ammissione, di contenuto identico sul territorio nazionale, sono predisposte dal Ministero
dell’Istruzione, dell’Università e della Ricerca sulla base dei programmi di cui all’allegato A, che
costituisce parte integrante al presente bando.
La prova di ammissione verte su 80 (ottanta) quesiti formulati con cinque opzioni di risposta, di
cui il candidato ne deve individuare una soltanto, scartando le conclusioni errate, arbitrarie o
meno probabili, su argomenti di:
‐ cultura generale e ragionamento logico (40 quesiti)
‐ biologia (18 quesiti)
4. ‐ chimica (11 quesiti)
‐ fisica e matematica (11 quesiti)
Il modulo risposte prevede, a fianco di ciascun quesito, anche una casella che lo studente deve
barrare, solo dopo aver accuratamente valutato la propria competenza, per indicare che non
intende rispondere. Tale indicazione, una volta apposta, non è più modificabile.
Nella valutazione delle prove, si tiene conto dei seguenti criteri:
a) 1 punto per ogni risposta esatta;
meno 0,25 punti per ogni risposta sbagliata;
0 punti per ogni risposta non data;
b) in caso di parità prevale in ordine decrescente il punteggio ottenuto dal candidato nella
soluzione, rispettivamente, dei quesiti relativi agli argomenti di cultura generale e
ragionamento logico, biologia, chimica, fisica e matematica.
c) in caso di ulteriore parità di voti, prevale la votazione dell’esame di Stato conclusivo dei corsi
di studio di istruzione secondaria superiore;
d) in caso di ulteriore parità, prevale lo studente che sia anagraficamente più giovane.
Art. 9‐ Calendario della prova di ammissione e modalità di svolgimento
La prova di ammissione si svolgerà il 2 settembre 2010 presso il Settore Didattico di Via Celoria,
20 e di Via Golgi, 19 Milano.
I candidati sono convocati alle ore 9,00 per le operazioni di identificazione muniti di un
documento d’identità non scaduto.
Coloro che si presentassero senza documenti, con documenti non validi o in ritardo, non saranno
ammessi alla prova.
La prova avrà inizio alle ore 11.00. Per lo svolgimento è assegnato un tempo di due ore.
E’ consentito lasciare l’aula solo trenta minuti prima della conclusione della prova.
I candidati saranno distribuiti nelle aule per età anagrafica, eccezione fatta per i gemelli.
L’aula assegnata potrà essere consultata sul sito www.unimi.it – Studenti ‐ a partire dal 31
agosto 2010.
Ad ogni candidato sarà consegnato al momento della prova, un plico contenente:
1) un modulo anagrafica che presenta un codice a barre di identificazione univoca e che il
candidato deve obbligatoriamente compilare e sottoscrivere;
2) i quesiti relativi alla prova di ammissione;
3) due moduli di risposte, ciascuno dei quali presenta lo stesso codice a barre di
identificazione posto sul modulo anagrafica;
4) un foglio sul quale risultano prestampati:
• il codice identificativo della prova;
• l’indirizzo del sito web del MIUR (www.accessoprogrammato.miur.it);
• le chiavi personali (username e password) per accedere all’area riservata del sito nella
quale sarà possibile visualizzare l’immagine del proprio elaborato, contraddistinto dal
codice identificativo, la valutazione per singolo argomento d’esame ed il punteggio
complessivo;
5. • una busta vuota, provvista di finestra trasparente, nella quale lo studente, al termine
della prova, deve inserire uno dei due moduli di risposte ritenuto valido.
Per la compilazione del questionario lo studente:
• deve fare uso esclusivamente di penna nera che sarà fornita ad ogni candidato dopo
l’identificazione.
I candidati hanno la possibilità di correggere una (e una sola) risposta
eventualmente già data ad un quesito, avendo cura di annerire completamente la
casella precedentemente tracciata e scegliendone un’altra: deve risultare in ogni caso
un contrassegno in una sola delle cinque caselle perché possa essere attribuito il
relativo punteggio.
Il modulo risposte prevede, in corrispondenza del numero progressivo di ciascun
quesito, una figura circolare che lo studente deve barrare, qualora non intenda
rispondere. Tale indicazione, una volta apposta, non è più modificabile.
• deve obbligatoriamente compilare il modulo anagrafica;
• deve annullare, barrando l’intero foglio, il secondo modulo di risposte non
destinato alla correzione;
• al momento della consegna deve aver cura di inserire, non piegato, nella busta
vuota il solo modulo di risposte, destinato al CINECA per la determinazione del
punteggio, provvedendo al momento della consegna, alla sua chiusura;
• non deve inserire il modulo anagrafica nella busta perché costituirebbe elemento di
annullamento della prova, ma deve consegnarlo alla commissione;
• la busta contenente il modulo risposte non deve risultare firmata né dal candidato,
né da alcun componente della della commissione a pena della nullità della prova.
• E’ consentito lasciare l’aula solo trenta minuti prima della conclusione della prova.
La Commissione ha cura, in presenza del candidato di trattenere:
a) il modulo delle risposte non utilizzato e annullato dal candidato;
b) i fogli in cui risultano i quesiti relativi alla prova;
c) il foglio anagrafica.
La Commissione, al termine della prova, provvede a
• inserire tutte le buste consegnate, destinate al CINECA, in uno o più contenitori che
devono essere chiusi alla presenza di almeno due candidati estratti a sorte.
• Apporre una firma sui lembi di chiusura del o dei contenitori.
• Invitare i due studenti a firmare sugli stessi lembi.
Durante lo svolgimento delle prove i candidati non potranno uscire dall’aula, utilizzare appunti
manoscritti, testi di qualunque specie, calcolatrici, telefoni cellulari e quant’altro sarà comunicato
prima dell’inizio della prova.
Il concorrente che contravverrà alle suddette disposizioni o che abbia copiato in tutto o in parte la
prova sarà escluso dal concorso.
6. La commissione ed il personale addetto alla vigilanza curano l’osservanza delle disposizioni stesse
ed avranno la facoltà di adottare i provvedimenti necessari e conseguenti alla mancata osservanza
delle stesse.
Art. 10 Immatricolazione
La graduatoria generale sarà pubblicata via web all’indirizzo: www.unimi.it ‐ Servizi online SIFA –
graduatorie di ammissione corsi di laurea.
I candidati collocati in posizione utile dovranno immatricolarsi entro i termini perentori indicati a
margine della graduatoria, con la seguente procedura:
• versare la prima rata presso gli sportelli di Intesa Sanpaolo utilizzando il modulo di
pagamento “Codice 4” disponibile sul sito www.unimi.it –SEGRETERIE STUDENTI ‐
Moduli di pagamento;
• la banca rilascia un codice di autorizzazione;
• accedere alla procedura “IMMATRICOLAZIONE” dai terminali self‐service o dal sito web
www.unimi.it ‐ Servizi online SIFA – Servizi di immatricolazione.
Le suddette procedure devono essere seguite anche dagli studenti provenienti da altro ateneo che
dovranno allegare alla domanda di immatricolazione anche la ricevuta della domanda di
trasferimento.
Gli studenti provenienti da un altro corso di questo Ateneo, una volta accertato il
posizionamento utile in graduatoria, sono tenuti a presentarsi, nei termini indicati nella
graduatoria, presso lo sportello Immatricolazioni di Medicina e Chirurgia per prendere iscrizione e
consegnare anche la domanda di trasferimento. Questa verrà trasmessa d’ufficio alla segreteria del
corso di provenienza.
La consegna della domanda e di tutti gli allegati deve essere effettuata entro il termine perentorio
indicato a margine della graduatoria.
Chi non ottempererà nei termini sopra indicati, sarà considerato automaticamente come
rinunciatario.
L’assegnazione definitiva ai singoli corsi di laurea avverrà dopo l’immatricolazione
rispettando le preferenze indicate secondo la graduatoria di ammissione (prima scelta per il
primo in graduatoria ed a scalare fino ad esaurimento dei posti disponibili; successivamente
seconda, terza scelta, quarta scelta ).
Art. 11 Procedura di scorrimento della graduatoria
Eventuali posti che si rendessero disponibili a seguito della mancata immatricolazione dei vincitori
del concorso entro i termini prescritti, saranno assegnati tenuto conto dell’ordine progressivo della
graduatoria. L’eventuale disponibilità di posti e i termini di scadenza per l’immatricolazione,
saranno resi noti il giorno successivo alla scadenza dei termini dei primi candidati ammessi.

Programmi relativi ai quesiti delle prove di ammissione ai corsi di laurea
specialistica/ magistrale in Medicina e Chirurgia, in Odontoiatria e Protesi
Dentaria, in Medicina Veterinaria e ai corsi di laurea delle professioni sanitarie
Per l’ammissione ai corsi è richiesto il possesso di una cultura generale, con particolari attinenze
all’ambito letterario, storico‐ filosofico, sociale ed istituzionale, nonché della capacità di analisi su
testi
scritti di vario genere e da attitudini al ragionamento logico‐ matematico.
Peraltro, le conoscenze e le abilità richieste fanno comunque riferimento alla preparazione
promossa
dalle istituzioni scolastiche che organizzano attività educative e didattiche coerenti con i
Programmi
Ministeriali, soprattutto in vista degli Esami di Stato e che si riferiscono anche alle discipline
scientifiche della Biologia, della Chimica, della Fisica e della Matematica.
Cultura generale e ragionamento logico
Accertamento attraverso quesiti a scelta multipla della capacità di completare logicamente
un ragionamento, in modo coerente con le premesse, che vengono enunciate in forma simbolica o
verbale I quesiti verteranno su testi di saggistica scientifica o narrativa di autori classici o
contemporanei, oppure su testi di attualità comparsi su quotidiani o su riviste generalistiche o
specialistiche; verteranno altresì su casi o problemi, anche di natura astratta, la cui soluzione
richiede l’adozione di forme diverse di ragionamento logico.
Quesiti relativi alle conoscenze di cultura generale, affrontati nel corso degli studi,
completano questo ambito valutativo.
