EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY
1. We take inspiration from art, nature, politics,
religion but more than that we learn from what
existed before us. So somehow we must be the
change we want to see in the world as
Gandhiji said, similarly if we want to bring
good in architectural education we should
bring change in ourselves.
2. Tendency towards introspection and inquiry is
a major theme of his approach to design, and
permeates into his teaching style and everyday
life as well.
E.g.; B.V. Doshi grand daughter said that
when in doubt if i would ask him a question he
would never offer a solution instead he always
prefer to pose a question and look at the
problem from a different angle and in the
process i would arrive at the answers.
3. Buildings are no other than a living organism,
they must breathe, speak and sing like trees
and birds.

4. He taught students how to observe which he learned
from his guru Le Corbusier.
5. He taught students how to incorporate nature and space
together to create a harmonious community.
6. Mr B.V. Doshi founded and designed one of best school
of architecture (CEPT) . Somehow he is responsible for
producing some fresh and original architects. He often takes
students on site visits, education tours to let them observe,
notice and fell in love with the materials and the rich
architectural heritage of our country.
7. He exactly knows how to speak to today’s generation in
their language. Students are so comfortable with him
because when you don’t know each others language there is
a visual and spatial comfort and that’s the best kind of bond
between student and teacher.
8. He taught his students that building should not be an
entity but participatory.
9. According to B,V, Doshi education should be like
biodiverse gardens.

10. Architecture is not just about history or tall buildings but understanding your own
inner perspectives and presenting them in favour of needs and requirements of past
present and future generation.
