WHO ARE WE?
Bacardi is a family, a company and a brand
A family-owned company full of passionate
employees and iconic brands, shaped by our
rich history of spirited entrepreneurship.
Bacardi Limited has been built on an enduring legacy of a family.
Ours is a vibrant, family-owned spirits company – nurtured by seven
generations of the Bacardi family – now the third largest spirits
company in the world, as well as the world’s largest, privately held
spirits company. Bacardi was founded in 1862 in Santiago de Cuba,
when Don Facundo Bacardí Massó revolutionized the spirits industry
by creating the world’s first light-bodied rum.
Since then, we have grown to include an impressive portfolio of
premium spirits. Bacardi is the men and women of the extended
Bacardi family of professionals. Around the globe we employ nearly
6,000 people who are guardians of a tradition of excellence dating
back 150 years. Our products are sold in more than 150 global
markets worldwide by our own companies and third party
distributors and we operate 27 production facilities – for bottling,
distilling and manufacturing – in 16 countries.
Bacardi Limited refers to the Bacardi group of companies, including
Bacardi International Limited. It is headquartered in Hamilton,
Bermuda.

CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY
Living our values
Ensuring a strong legacy for the future
Employees are most proud of Bacardi’s commitment to the area of Corporate Responsibility and in being able to make a positive
difference across Bacardi and the communities in which we operate. Our corporate values of Trust, Caring, Passion and Excellence
guide our approach to Corporate Responsibility. To deliver a best-in class program, we are focused on delivering continual
improvement and excellence in our performance, guided by five key pillars.
Our five key pillars
These reflect our main areas of activity:
Marketplace
Our ambition is to be best-in-class in promoting responsible drinking and to ensure we market our products in a
responsible way. To help achieve this, we build on the recognition already received for our award-winning responsible
drinking campaigns and continue to uphold our excellent compliance record against responsible marketing codes.
Environment, Health & Safety
Our values of Excellence and Caring underpin our aim to achieve best-in-class environmental and safety
performance. Most of our products’ environmental impacts are in our supply chain and we work in our own facilities
and with our suppliers to reduce impacts and risks across our whole value chain.
Responsible Sourcing
Our vision for Responsible Sourcing is for all of our raw materials and packaging to come from sustainably sourced,
renewable or recycled materials – reducing environmental and social impacts while maintaining or enhancing the
economic status of growers and suppliers.
People
Within the People pillar, we aim to unleash the potential of our people by creating a working environment where every
employee takes advantage of the development opportunities Bacardi offers. We will inspire, engage and support our
people and intend to become recognized internally and externally as a Great Place to Work.
Philanthropy & Community Development
We operate in many locations around the world and always aim to make a positive contribution to our local
communities. Our employees are members of these communities and taking part in community activities generates a
strong sense of pride. We provide support in four broad areas: arts and culture; education; environment; and health
and social services.

encouraging creativity and recognising personal contributions and
initiatives. We also foster a culture of learning from our mistakes
as well as from our successes.
Our employees contribute to shaping the direction of their area of
responsibility. Everyone is willing to roll-up their sleeves to ensure
things move forward and are implemented in the right way.
As a privately owned company, we have a strong connection to
the heritage of both the Bacardi family and the iconic brands in
