This document contains an evaluation of a teacher's certification as a language tutor. The evaluator checked boxes to indicate that the teacher demonstrated practical teaching competence by combining theory with practice, understanding language teaching issues, and having methodological skills. The teacher also showed an ability to reflect by analyzing their own teaching, drawing conclusions to improve, and trying new approaches. Finally, the evaluator confirmed the teacher could learn from and work with others.
The document contains an evaluation of a language teacher's skills and competencies. The evaluator ticks boxes to indicate that the teacher is aware of concepts related to adult learning psychology and language acquisition theory, and integrates these areas into lesson planning. The evaluation also indicates the teacher is able to incorporate students' previous experience, present materials engagingly, consider student needs and interests, assess language levels, and anticipate and address potential issues. The original evaluation contained the same checked boxes and remarks that the teacher's plans were well-structured and she could create a positive learning environment.
The document is an evaluation of a language teacher's certification dossier. It contains:
1) A checklist evaluating the teacher's skills in planning and evaluating lessons, understanding curriculum context, and preparing students for exams.
2) Details of a project the teacher designed integrating several lessons to plan and cook a meal together in English.
3) The evaluator's positive feedback that the project effectively revised previous vocabulary and achieved communication goals, though the activity took a long time.
The document certifies a language teacher for their skills in teaching socio-cultural and intercultural aspects of language. It indicates that the teacher is able to show sensitivity to different cultures, promote cultural understanding, and integrate cultural topics into lessons. A sample lesson is described where the teacher discusses different countries and cultures to help students reflect on their own views and understand cultural diversity. Both the original evaluator and external evaluator agree that the teacher selects appropriate materials and activities to effectively teach cultural awareness.
This document contains evaluations of a language teacher's certification dossier and classroom performance. Both evaluations found that the teacher demonstrated a strong command of language analysis tools and the ability to deploy this knowledge to plan lessons. They noted the teacher used correct terminology in explanations and understood how to address learners' difficulties with the target language structures. While some lesson objectives could have been more appropriate, the teacher successfully solved this issue in the classroom. Overall, the evaluations determined the teacher displayed the required skills and competencies.
This document contains a lesson plan for teaching intercultural learning using modals of advice. The 90 minute lesson plan is divided into phases including an icebreaker, extending the theme through grammar explanation and exercises, personalization through problem solving in pairs, focusing on grammar, transferring knowledge to a controlled exercise, and concluding with a whole class activity. The document also includes a sample weekly timetable allocating times and content areas for 4 teaching sessions over 5 days.
1. JORGE AUGUSTO ORDOÑEZ VALENCIA

1. Which of the content areas interest you most. Why?
I’m really interested about Language Teaching because I believe that is very important
to chose the appropriate methods to suit learning and teaching objective if you want to
learn any language.
2. In which areas do you feel sure/unsure?
I feel sure in planning and evaluation, because I really like preparing material class
and I had the experience to teach Aims and objectives of language teaching in the
context of the institution and o the course.
3. Which area will be more difficult for you? Why?
Maybe language and culture because it’s an area where as professor we have to get a
lot of experiences and vocabulary because every culture use their own words that
refers to different meaning.
4. In which area would you like to develop further? How will you go about it?
I would like to develop self-assessment and development, I will try to give to the
participants difficult classroom situations that they will learn from their solutions and I
also will like to receive and make use of feedback on my teaching performance.
5. Which resources (materials, books, websites, articles, methods, visual material etc.)
do you already have relating to the five content areas?
I think that as professor we use all kind of material for develop the five content areas,
for example in my case for Language and culture I use visual material or websites to
show it. For language awareness, I use books and articles, to language learning
processes use material as flashcard, realia, etc., to Language teaching I use materials,
books, websites, articles, visual material, music and videos for developing most of the
areas.
6. How could you check and evaluate the learning progress of your trainees during the
training? Write down some concrete ideas.
We could evaluate their knowledge, with a writing exam, I think that this is an excellent
idea, but for me oral and speaking practice it’s one of the most important evaluation in
a process.
