Ayotte Glass Studio creates sculptures entirely out of glass using flameworking techniques. The artist shapes individual glass rods into leaves, petals, birds, and other natural forms, then carefully pieces them together while hot to form delicate designs. Once complete, molten crystal glass is poured over the design to encase it, after which the piece is shaped and annealed in a kiln for 48 hours. All of the studio's vessels, sculptures, and paperweights are handcrafted solely from glass.
