Alastair Brimley is seeking a full-time position in electrical, electronics, or instrumentation. My name is Alastair Brimley.
I am a hard working, enthusiastic, self motivated and reliable
worker who’s always willing to go the extra mile to challenge
myself, aspire to greater things and prove myself to my
employer. I am friendly and always get along with my colleagues
allowing me to work efficiently in a team though I am also able to
work hard towards deadlines by myself. I am a fast learner and

2. EXPERIENCE
VSAT Build & Test Tech at Harris CapRock Communications
(2014 – Present)
Responsible for the assembly and testing of VSAT terminals & all associated
hardware/software.These terminals are predominantly commissioned onto offshore
installations or boats, providing the customer with a solution to their offshore
communication needs. Recently while work has been quiet I have been asked to help
update procedures and to create new internal testing checklists and procedures by
utilizing my Advanced Excel and word processor skills. My duties involve the
following:
• Building and producing wire harnesses for all equipment.
• Analyse and interpretation of data from testing.
• Troubleshooting whenever issues with faulty equipment is found not to be within
spec.
• Liaison with Engineering and Logistics to make sure all equipment is to customer
standards and delivered on time.
• Working within a small team to work at an increasing standard
of work.
• Complying with health and safety legislation and procedures.
• First Aid.
• Keeping First Aid kits stocked and prepared for any eventuality.
• Review procedures and drawings to make sure all documents are
correct and making any changes if necessary.
Electro-Mechanical Tech at Baker Hughes (2013 – 2014)
Troubleshoot, test and repair of electro-mechanical assemblies. Review procedures.
Analyse and interpret data from environmental tests and
troubleshoot equipment problems. Set-up of experiments and the
recordings of experimental data In collaboration with Engineering and
Reliability groups. Test and evaluate the performance, and if required, repair general
purpose test equipment. Provide coaching to other
technicians in areas of proven competence. Provide leadership to
