2. HISTORY
AVA has been at the forefront of the online education industry
since its infancy.
WELCOME
In 2001, American Virtual Academy
was created with a vision to offer students
the most comprehensive online education
possible. After years of using different
technologies, we realized that no one
product effectively addressed the specific
needs of the teenage learner.
Our founders, Damian Creamer and
Vanessa Baviera, have always held the
belief that all students have the potential
to succeed when provided with the
right tools. This philosophy led AVA to
vigorously pursue the development and
testing of our technology solutions.
As a technology and curriculum
provider to Primavera Online High School,
the largest high school in Arizona, we
have spent countless hours working with
students and teachers to improve our
