The President and Executive Officer of Ipswich Chamber of Commerce Phillip
Bell met with Australia International Trade Association (AITA) CEO Michael Guo at
Ipswich Chamber of Commerce. President Phillip Bell provided information about
members of Chamber of Commerce which mainly included defence industry,
advanced manufacture, health industry as well as food and agricultural products
producers. Phillip expressed his hope to establish the strategic partnership with
Australia International Trade Association to jointly provide a cooperative platform for
the cooperation between Ipswich’s Business and China. He also hoped that with the
assistance of Australia International Trade Association there will be fruitful
cooperation in different areas such as Ipswich Trade visit to China, two way
investment, collaborating to hold China Australia Trade Forum, providing Consulting
services for Business from both Ipswich and China, etc.
Australia International Trade Association Michael Guo recollected it was in 2002
he first visited Ipswich with a Trade delegation from Siping City China for the
establishment of cooperative relationship. Australia International Trade Association
Michael also hoped to see more Ipswich’s corporations cooperate with China in the
near future with the establishment of the strategic partnership with Australia
International Trade Association and Ipswich Chamber of Commerce.
