Business Development Fund (Co-Investment)
• Helps to turn ideas into reality with co-investment in Queensland
businesses at the forefront of commercializing ground-breaking
research or innovations.
• $40 million fund providing co-funding equity investment between
$125,000 and $2.5 million in an eligible Queensland business.
• Requires commitment from a qualified lead investor (angel, VC etc)
Ignite Ideas Fund (Proof of Concept)
• Supports startups and small to medium Queensland businesses to
commercialize market ready innovative ideas that will help them grow and
compete in a global market and create new jobs.
• Grants of up to $250,000 (excluding GST) to support activities that will test
and implement commercialization plans for a product, process or service
that is at or beyond minimum viable product or market ready stage.

16. Australia’s-first international startup attraction program,
offering global startups grants of up to AUD$100,000.
 HotDesQ is open to early-stage and established startups, and successful Aussie expats, where
they can leverage off Queensland’s proven track record in world-class research, technology and
innovation to grow their ventures.
 Successful startups will receive equity-free funding, free co-working space and access to
mentors for six months to grow their business in Queensland.
 Startups from anywhere in the world have an opportunity to harness Queensland’s unique
industry strengths in areas like medtech, agriculture, mining, aviation, games and tourism.
 The program will also help startups launch into the burgeoning Asia-Pacific markets from a
Queensland base.
