United States Department of Energy – Oak Ridge National Laboratory July to December 2013
Paid Internship:
 Published 7 articles detailing various research projects running on the Titan supercomputer.
 Reported and promoted the Oak Ridge facility’s contribution to the scientific community to attract
additional funding.
 Conducted research for projects on the supercomputer through scientific journals and interviews of
scientists as well as members of government and industry.
 Reviewed a large variety of published technical and scientific journals in an effort to take complex subjects
and translate them into an overview suited for a general audience.

 Managed morning and night shifts, and was responsible for inventory and finances.
 Averaged 35 hours per week, while a full-time student at the University of Tennessee.
 In charge of up to 18 employees.
 Led highly successful locations and implemented the standards and guidelines of an internationally
recognized corporation and well-known local franchise.
 Experience includes: leadership positions at six different locations, two simultaneously with rapid
promotions based on work ethic and proven results.
