3. Introduction
We are the BBA student of IUBAT studying an accounting course
Auditing. To learn the working environment of an audit farm we
were supposed to visit a company A. Qasem & Co. which is located
at Gulshan – 2, Dhaka. It is a global auditing farm in Bangladesh the
member of EY Global. In this company they are providing so many
services relating to the audit. They are providing audit service like
Statutory Audits, Internal audit, compliance audits, due diligence,
systems /process audit, operational & performance audit,
procurement review, fiduciary review, forensic audit certification,
regulatory reporting to sec, NGO affairs bureau etc. 3

4. Background of the Organization
The Firm was established in 1953 in Chittagong. Branches were
later set up in Dhaka and Karachi. At present, They operate from
two offices in Gulshan, Dhaka and one in Chittagong.
From 1978 to 1994, the company was the recommended
Correspondent Firm of Coopers & Lybrand, and we became their
Associate Firm in 1994.
It has become a Member Firm of Ernst & Young Global (EYG). This is
one of the Big 4 professional firms in the world with 190,000
people, working in more than 700 offices in over 150 countries,
with a global revenue of $27.4 in 2014.
