Become a leader for justice
The Principal Leadership Institute (PLI) provides preparation for reform‐oriented candidates
who are ready, willing and interested in achieving equitable educational outcomes
for all students. In 14 months, candidates earn a Masters of Arts in Education
as well as the Preliminary Administrative Services Credential.
Active, rigorous and relevant instruction are hallmarks of the program.
Admission requirements include:
o Passing score on California Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST)
o Current valid California clear or life teaching or services prerequisite credential
o At least five years of full-time classroom teaching or pupil personnel services experience
o High quality teaching experience (recent 10-20 minute video with accompanying lesson plan)
