The Polk Museum of Art in Lakeland, Florida is hosting several holiday events in November and December including Fall for Art with free admission from November 14-16, a Gems & Jewels Artist Market on November 14, an Art2 sale from November 14-16, and a Holiday Soiree & Art Auction on November 14. They will also host Elves Shelves from November 23-December 8 where children can do gift shopping. The museum shop will offer unique gifts, toys, décor, and gift certificates while providing personal shopping assistance and free gift wrapping. Extended hours during the holiday season will be December 10-13 and December 17-20 from 10am to 6pm.

According to the National Endowment for the Arts, the nonprofit arts sector generates $135 billion for the economy which has lead to 4.1 million jobs. The United States Bureau of Statistics found that in performing arts companies, for example, arts administrators on average have salaries in the mid-five figures. A February 2016 snapshot from idealist.org, a leading job database for nonprofit organizations, showed 882 available arts administration jobs in the United States. The Association of Arts Administration Educators (AAAE) is a great resource for anyone interested in arts administration education. With online information such as a database of universities around the world with programs of studies for arts management and the creative industries, prospective students will have no trouble finding a variety of programs and schools to explore.
