Differences Between British and Catalan Primary Schools

In this article we want to show you the differences between British and
Catalan schools.
Children in our primary schools don’t wear uniforms. We don’t like
to wear uniforms because we like to choose our clothes. In the UK
children wear: shoes, trousers, jumpers, T-shirts, etc., as school
uniform. In Catalonia only a few schools have a uniform.
School timetable in UK primary schools is shorter than Spanish
timetable. They start at 8:40 a.m. and finish at 3:15 p.m. Here in Spain we
startat9:00 a.m. and finish at 5:00 p.m. Asyour see, in primary schools in the UK,
children work for seven hours and fifty-five minutes, and here children work for of
eight hours, that in all week are twenty-five minutes.
In theBritish primary schoolsthey give an award to
good children. It is a specialtime on Friday called
Golden Time. Children can spend 30 minutes where
they want: the playground, the reading corner…
