This document discusses artworks by Mary Heilmann, Robert Mangold, and William Wegman and includes summaries of pieces inspired by each artist. It notes that Heilmann uses bright colors and geometric shapes in her work. Mangold's art uses simple shapes with added lines and only two or three colors. Wegman is known for photos that feature his dog dressed in human costumes with the same expression.

Mary Heilmann uses a lot of bright
colors in her paintings as well as
different shapes. She gets a lot of
her ideas from her imagination and
refers to music in some of her
artwork.

I used a lot of bright colors in this
just like Mary Heilmann uses in her
artwork. I also added in a couple
musical references since she gets
some of her inspiration from music.
I love how she uses bright colors
which makes the art pop and her
use of geometric shapes.
4. Robert Mangold
SplitRing Image1, 2009
Acrylic, graphite, and
blackpencil oncanvas,
96inches diameter
Robert Mangold’s art uses the most
simplest of shapes and adds a bit of
flair to them with the addition of
lines. A lot of his works contain
shapes that are absent of a center.
He also uses only two or three
colors in his art.

In my piece I used a square shape
instead of a circle or arc that Robert
Mangold usually uses. I picked a
square because it has no center in it.
I added in lines that encompass the
whole square and used only two
colors for the piece. I like how
Robert Mangold is very simple with
his work and uses minimal features.

I like howWilliam Wegman uses his
dog in his artwork. It is very
interesting and surprising the way
he puts the dog in different
costumes and how the dog stays
put while he takes the photo! In this
photo I tried to get the same style
asWilliamWegman. (It was difficult
trying to get one picture so I don’t
know how William Wegman can get
his dog to stay put for long!)
