This document provides information about Halloween events happening in the St. Louis area from October 26-30, 2017, including Halloween Nights at Grant's Farm, the Haunted Hayloft at Purina Farms, Boo at the Zoo at the Saint Louis Zoo, Spirits in the Garden at the Missouri Botanical Garden, and the Bug Ball at the Sophia M. 1. WHAT’S HAPPENING AROUND THE TOWN THIS WEEKEND?
August 4-6, 2017
Halloween Nights at Grant’s Farm (Thurs. Oct 26-Sun. Oct. 29; 6-
9 pm) — It’s the last weekend to enjoy the 2017 Halloween Nights at
Grant’s Farm! Featuring themed shows, a DJ in the Bauernhof courtyard,
and themed deer park rides with Halloween lights. Entrance opens at
5:30 pm and closes at 9 pm. Go to: www.grantsfarm.com.
Haunted Hayloft at Purina Farms (Fri. Oct. 27-Sun. Oct. 29.
Times: Fri. & Sat. 4:30-7:30 pm, and Sun. 2:30-5:30 pm) — Each season,
Purina Farms hosts special annual gatherings. From egg hunts to trick-or
-treating, families can celebrate their favorite holiday at these family-
friendly events. Featuring not-so-scary entertainment for kids, including
trick-or-treating, costume contest, magic shows, face painting, canine
performances, adoptable dogs, and more. Admission free; $5 to park. Go

Boo at the Zoo (Through Mon. Oct. 30, 5:30-8:30 pm) — Join the Saint Louis Zoo for their special Halloween
evenings! Bring your little ghouls and goblins for a non-scary, kid-friendly Halloween experience. Children are
encouraged to wear costumes. Children 12 and under will receive a treat bag upon exiting. Boo at the Zoo Nights
is not a trick-or-treating experience. Admission ticket required. Go to: www.stlzoo.org to purchase tickets.
Spirits in the Garden at the Missouri Botanical Gardens (Fri. Oct. 27, 6-9 pm) — Celebrate All Hal-
lows’ Eve with the spirit of Henry Shaw while sampling tastings from local distilleries, wineries and breweries!
Strut your stuff in a costume contest, seek out “Wicked Plants” in a scavenger hunt and dance the night away to
spooky tunes, and much more. Tickets $20-$30. Go to www.missouribotanicalgarden.org.
Bug Ball at the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House in Chesterfield (Fri. Oct. 27 & Sat. Oct. 28, 5:30-
7:30 pm) — Step into the beauty of butterflies, insects, spiders and other many-legged friends. Your own little
bugaboos can create “spook-tacular crafts” and take home lots of loot Families can dance to Monster Jams at the
Bug Ball or spy on the amazing Owl Butterfly, and feast on a spook-tacular dinner that includes creepy pizza fin-
gers, pumpkin punch, and more. Space is limited; reservations required. Price is per person. Go to:
